To say we upgraded to a king room it was still quite small, nothing wrong with it it was a lovely room but a size you'd maybe expect from a standard room.

Room and hotel have great decor, the alexa in the room was a great feature and its in a great location.

Room was clean however decor poor condition, light in bathroom didn t work, remote for TV wasn’t working. Neither was phone- all of which was reported and fixed. The end of sofa bed fell off( we hadn t used this. It is an old building and this not expecting perfection but floor was very uneven indeed. Total internal refurbishment required. Poor value for money.

Central location excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful, great breakfast. We didn’t stay for our planned 3. Ishtar but staff arranged reimbursement of last night thank you.

Don’t have mobility problems, but the steps in the room were a bit awkward. But I appreciate the period nature means things are a bit wonky, but this is charming too.

Beautiful period features with modern comforts. Huge comfortable bed. I liked the fact it wasn’t a ‘corporate’ decor.

    Nothing.

Lovely renovated quirky hotel in an excellent central location. Made a lovely change from corporate hotels, where all the rooms are identical. The room was compact but had everything you would expect in a hotel room, including a large comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with a large range of products both hot and cold. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely place to stay.

You could hear people quite easily and the bar downstairs you could hear very clearly but we were on the second floor. Wouldnt recomemend that floor for people who like early nights.

Easily accessible, great location and very comfy bed.

Scaffolding outside spoiled the look of the hotel, didn't like the step to go into the bathroom thought that could be quite dangerous also the blind in the bathroom wasn't very good, windows quite dirty, pillows very uncomfortable and also devet cover top right hand side was all unstiched quite raggy.

Breakfast was very good, comfortable seating, great staff very polite an helpful

Rooms are a little dated, the bathroom facilities were OK but quite small, our room sloped into one corner which I think is probably just down to the building age and location but travellers should be aware of this.

Nice old building in the centre of Nottingham, not too far from various places to eat out and visit including the castle. Plenty of travel options nearby including buses, the Tram and Train station.

Scaffolding all around the building and work being done which we was only aware of as we got to the hotel, no previous mention of this. Our window in the bedroom was completely covered by scaffolding. There is a club next to the hotel and you can hear the loud music clearly till early hours in the morning

Room was lovely and clean, check in and out was simple and quick

The room was very dark, only had a slim window. The table lamp and the light up mirror in the bathroom didn't work. The shower door wouldn't close and after trying to force it came off the runners. The window sill was filthy and had dead insects all over it, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while.

The location of this hotel was very good for exploring Nottingham. The bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep. The breakfast which is self service was good and had a good choice.

Windows to the room could have been cleaner. Security could have been better. We walked in the front door at 3am and no one was at the front desk. We could get access to every floor.

Decor and atmosphere made it a nice relaxing place to be. Breakfast was very nice.
