How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only problem was we didn't know how to operate the plug in the sink.
welcoming friendly staff. We didn't want breakfast but they quickly organised a coffee and croissant for us. Just what we wanted.

The sound of other people's doors waking me up. The price -unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to treat the family again due to the price.
The bathroom and bedroom were sooooo clean and well maintained it was great to see. The double bed was enormous. The breakfast was amazing, Staff were great. Tea, coffee and biscuits were great. The pool was lovely.

Breakfast was lovely, but please consider adding a chicken or beef option for people who dont eat pork. The only breakfast meats were bacon and pork sausages. Beef meatballs or turkey or chicken rashers would be great for those who dont eat pork.

The cost of evening meal, was rather expensive, we have up to £25 allowance, however we are not a wealthy provider and we have to manage our costs, so we always look for value for money and unfortunately the cost of evening meal was out of our price range in terms of budget management.
Breakfast was lovely, booking in and out was good, staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the different departments. I was hoping to use the leisure facilities but didn't find the time, as i worked late. Maybe next time!

Giving guest more information in their rooms so that you don't have to keep going to reception. There was no information that you were to use your room towels for going in the pool and money required for lockers we reached the pool and had to go back to the room for towels. Not very good using room towels then they are wet or damp if you then later take a shower. I found this to be poor service. Bar staff and restaurant staff I felt could do with some customer care training too.
Everywhere was very clean and comfortable.

Having to use the towels from our room for the swimming pool , the only negative

Very disappointed that upon arrival at 1400hrs we asked if we could check in one hour early as we had an engagement and would not be returning to the hotel until 2300hrs. The response was an abrupt "no" and check in policy was quoted. Having used your hotel on several occasions, we are aware of booking in time - previous requests have been granted without issue. It is unfortunate that a small gesture of goodwill on your part would have prevented a significant inconvenience for us. Whilst I recognise that there are housekeeping routines to follow I find it difficult to believe that the room was not available, It certainly only took the receptionist 2 seconds to find out !

On our last night we only had 3 hours sleep due to a lot of disruptions 😩 we had a very tiring long journey home.
We have stayed at the Coppid Beech on many occasions. Always clean and friendly staff. Great location for visiting our family.Have always given the hotel a good review and would highly recommend a stay here.

Being on the 2nd floor was rather noisy. Stayed before on 4th floor and couldn’t hear the club.
Super comfy room, lovely, friendly staff. Great facilities and restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay.

Kids were in pool splashing (however it was water holidays) so was to be expected but that was only down fall
