Having paid for a lake view, it was only a partial view. A lake view room with bath wasn't available. Shower room was very small.

We liked the service both in the restaurant a d the bar. The lake view is wonderful. The restaurant food was lovely.

Breakfast - one morning we ordered ‘eggs’ benedict, we received one small slice of brioche with one poached egg a little ham swimming in sauce, I’ve never received one egg for ‘eggs’ Benedict. Next morning we decided on the full english - sausage was hard and of a solid texture, the fried egg yoke was hard, scrambled egg wasn’t scrambled enough and I’m still trying to decide how the slice of bacon had been cooked ‘microwaved’ I would think, it certainly had not been grilled or fried. For a 4* hotel I would expect better quality of food than we had and also charging £15 a night for parking car in hotel car park was a disgrace.

Please see note above about the lift.

Always wanted to try the Belsfield hotel. Booking in was a breeze, lovely room, super comfy beds & bathroom. The weather in the evening was atrocious, so we dined in. The food was delicious at dinner & breakfast (except for the toaster)! The only issue we had was the antiquated lift- which doesn't work if someone doesn't shut the door properly on another floor to you. When you are disabled & have difficulty walking, it is no joke to have to carry cases downstairs! Hsving said that, we very much wenjoyed our stay.

I didn't like being ignored at my evening meal by one waiter who couldn't be bothered to ask me if I wanted a dessert after everyone had left. The lateness of my mint tea arriving, I had to go and ask where it had got to. The lack of information from the reception when I arrived, as to what time was breakfast, and anything else I needed to know. The room was small, the view from the window was awful (must remember to book a room with a garden view or lake view next time). I think certain members of staff could do with some training on how to treat a lady travelling on her own however the young lady in the tweed jacket in the dining room was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't like this 6 months ago so what's happened?

The proximity of the hotel to the amenities of Bowness. Able to park car (not sure about car parking charges) The evening meal on the first evening. The leaflets on where to go for a day out.

We booked a lake view with shower as advertised but requested a bath. After staying at the Belsfield at least a dozen times we have never had such a small bathroom. A classic room has better bathrooms. For a large person it would actually be a problem.

Location excellent. We have stayed at the Belsfield many times. The breakfast wasn't up to expectations.

Breakfast was poor eggs were cold, has browns hard on both days which we never ended up eating! We were surprised to have to pay the car park fee on checkout - we thought this would have been included in price.

would of preferred to be on first floor ,was not keen of having to go through the dining room every time we left the building, there was another way but more difficult , think they should make it more obvious it costs £15 a night for parking unless you have a Blue badge.

Good size room and bathroom, comfortable good facilities, room service everyday, we had a nice view of the Lake and the hills shops very close to hotel so no worry about parking, also plenty of eaterys.
