The air conditioning was not functioning properly. Called so many times between 10pm and 1am but no one answered the call at the reception. Had to come to reception to complain about the issue, but was told that it would be taken care of. Unfortunately, it wasn't fixed. I slept in full sweat and felt uncomfortable and so did the rest of my family. Initially a bed was unavailable but was given after complaint. No complementary water bottle was given.

The Welcome at Reception Tea, coffee, bottled water, biscuits and hot water to make a drink. Comfortable areas to sit and also a Bar. Large comfortable bedroom and nice and quiet, apart from the odd "Bark" now and again.

Very noisy chair in the room and despite having a kind size bed, it was two singles together which you can feel so was a little uncomfortable. Redeptionstaff oh check out quite dismissive and not overly friendly, polite enough but not what I expected, especially as an ex HI employee.

Good location. Reception staff upon check in great. Very clean room, decent size bed.

Some breakfast items were cold (bacon, eggs, potatoes) and marmalade was in a very sticky jar for self service...as were other jams and preserves. Bar Service in the afternoon was preremptory, expensive and again minimum standard, plain white bread instead of granary requested. Access to the site was obscured by Road closed signs and contractors vehicles causing me to take an unnecessary 5mile diversion.

Room was minimum standard, apparently "for the rate paid" which was Booking.com Genius bonus reduction! Booking.com should explain that guests booking through the website will be given the minimum standard room available.

Room service cooked breakfast was only lukewarm when it arrived (the kitchen was a long way from our room and they don't use plate stackers / covers).

Remarkable value for money on a heavily discounted DBB package on a Sunday night.

Thin walls - sound travelled. Difficulties get to sleep on arrival night due to noise from kids banging about next door. Complained twice but still had to endure until close to midnight. Had requested a quiet room so surprised we were located next to family room especially as hotel not full by any means.

Staff seemed to struggle a little on evening of our stay in terms of organisation, which may be due to us ordering food quite late whilst they were preparing for breakfast the next morning. However they were friendly, and the food was excellent.

No plug sockets by bed , plug in bath wouldn’t stay in so couldn’t have bath . Air con very noisy at all temps . No small extendable magnifying mirror in bathroom making putting makeup on hard work as room lighting very dim.

Bed comfortable and large room quiet away from noise . Breakfast restaurant lovely and good choice available and well stocked but would be nice to be offered fresh coffee or tea . Staff really helpful at checkin and out . And checkout at 12 pm means that you can fit a few business meetings in online before you leave - excellent !

Cost of drinks and the tonic water you use Shower - unless you knew had to be very careful the water didn’t cascade over the floor!

Breakfast was yummy. Great selection of both continental and cooked cuisine. Products were high quality. Well presented as well as well cooked Highly recommend. Staff were polite and attentive.

There were no activities, no gym or swimming facilities which I suppose for the price paid would have made the experience better. Dinner could be enhanced as well, in terms of the variety and the limit of the amount I was entitled to use.

Breakfast was excellent, attendants were very pleasant and supportive. Bed room was extremely cold on the first night but staff were helpful the following day by supplying me with electric heater which rectified the situation for the rest of my 5 day stay

Couldn't find the TV remote in the room and one of the tea/coffee cups was dirty - as in hadn't been cleaned since its previous use from whoever had been in the room before us

It was a new years eve gala. Staff all friendly and the gala exceeded expectations
