Lovely Old Building but needs more lighting at the entrance no lights to indicate where reception entrance was😌I am slightly biased disabled I use a walking stick for balance, but not being able to see well it made me apprehensive and unsteady. Maybe the property would use a very cheap LED up lighting in colour day s nice warm light glow to make the best of appearances to such a beautiful building.

We had prior booked for the evening meal as the food seemed to look good after looking up some views, but this night (can’t speak for everyone) the food was not up the standard of the price we had paid, the seafood starter was beautiful but mine and my husbands mains where disappointing unfortunately.

We paid extra for the room on the front which was well worth it! The room was excellent, very spacious, fantastic view of the sea and the building itself is beautiful, it was a perfect location for the reason we where visiting which was for the springbank distillery, the hotel staff/owners where really lovely.

New pillows would be nice and I heard other guests mention this at breakfast but to be fair this would be a typical remark at most properties.

Our room was on bottom floor, so you heard everyone coming or going, cars parking etc, dog wouldn’t settle for the noises, not the hotels fault. Whilst the bathroom was modern and as I said the room was clean, like most accommodation in Campbeltown it was dated. It had plenty of sockets for charging etc The main entrance/lobby/hall could do with brightening up, but all in all it was ideal, and upstairs room would maybe been quieter but I would go back.

The room was very cold, but were provided with electric heaters. Long wait on food the restaurant was very slow.

Although the food (diner) was well-prepared, the table service was unacceptable, i.e tables were cleared and laid for breakfast whilst we were having dinner.

Price is a little expensive but appears to be similar to other local places. The shower and bathroom extraction were a little anemic, neither were very powerful or effective. Shower was hard to regulate either hot or cold.

Location, view, parking were all great. The room size was good and bathroom was big. Lots of products available to use and the small hair dryer was powerful. Beautiful building. Breakfast was lovely with a large menu, and coffee was good.

This is not a ‘Didn’t like’. But the Hostess, front of house Lady was quite grumpy/blunt/cold or just straight to the point. Yet still accommodating!!!. Maybe we caught her on a bad weekend. However, we found it endearing and funny but other sensitive souls from overseas (our U.S cousins) might struggle to appreciate it from a customer service point of view. But we’re generally rubbish at that in the U.K anyway.

I think the car park could use a bit of TLC. It's quite a narrow place to turn when lots of cars are parked.
