Would have preferred not to have to climb so many stairs. However the charming young man who showed us to our room did carry one of our bags.

Enjoyed a nice evening meal in the restaurant and a good full English breakfast the following morning. Thought the complimentary coffee and cake on arrival were a nice touch. Sadly, forgot to bring swimming gear so didn’t use the swimming pool.

The use of the pool is variable.

The location is great, the views from the apartment was stunning. The apartment was perfect for a family of 5 and gave us lots of flexibility. The food and the staff were also very good.

Everything! The location was perfect for exploring the Western Lakes. Within just a few miles we were able to visit Wordsworth’s home, go to the zoo and take a pony trek into the hills. The main thing to recommend about this hotel was the food. It was incredible!!! We are there every night of our four day stay and each meal was better than the one before. As big foodies this was a remarkable gem to discover. Such care was taken over every aspect. Breakfast was also fantastic and the atmosphere of the bar/restaurant was so warm that we felt we were at home. Id add that the apartment was one of the most comfortable we have stayed in as a family. The beds were so good and the living area meant we could relax together. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be going back soon!

The pool/spa facilities were a little tired and perhaps could be cleaner but was still usable.

The apartment kitchen coukd have been better stocked. However the staff were so friendly I'm sure if you asked for what was missing they would have got it for you.

Breakfast was excellent, good choice and nice and fresh. The pool was small but warm it was a little disappointing that the times to use the pool are restricted due to local lessons but understandable. Dinner was lovely.

Staff was lovely and the lady that greeted us was so sweet and couldn't do enough for us. We even got free cake and coffee. Food in the restaurant at tea time was very nice and so was breakfast all staff were attentive and qe didn't have to wait long for food. Would absolutly go back

Nothing, was more than expected.

The hotel was amazing, and perfect location for walking, we had a 1 bedroom apartment very spacious, comfortable and far exceeded our expectations, food was amazing with a lot of choice for breakfast and dinner. Staff was very helpful and friendly, would definitely return and recommend. Town about 10 minutes away to a Sainsburys and Lidl, pet store etc...

Perhaps a couple of sharp knives in the kitchen to help with meal prep but really not too big an issue

The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner. The staff were just lovely from start to finish. We had a 3 bedroom apartment within the hotel. It was spacious and quirky. For the 6 of us there was plenty of room and the view from our windows was amazing. Great location for some lovely walks. The check in and check out process was very smooth and the complimentary tea and cakes on arrival was an extra special touch that was really appreciated.
