They wanted £30 to check I a hour early the room was empty and ready I thought this was greedy

BT was digging the road up outside the building around 10pm until 11pm but can't be helped.just glad it glad it didn't last all night.

The design of the loft. It was very different to where we have stayed before nice and clean and good location.easy to gain access to the place as it was a cord there give you to both doors to get in . Would stay again .

There was no tea towel/dishcloth/sponge in the kitchen are so we could not clean up after ourselves. After two previous excellent previous stays with Discovery Accommodation we were left somewhat disappointed this time!

After finding the original room we had booked was dirty we were upgraded to an apartment. Under the circumstances at such short notice we appreciated the upgrade.

Windows wouldn't open, dark bathroom. Light from landing bright in room at night. Light pollution in room also.

Few safety concerns. No fire safety card, procedures, safe meet point etc. The banisters were quite flimsy and there were No balustrades at all. I'd be concerned that this would not be safe at all for children or people less steady on their feet. Shower was a bit naff.

Bed was uncomfy and the pillows were the crunchy plastic type ones which were very uncomfy. Not a great tea selection and the bathroom had an odd smell and the shower screen created a very narrow space to get into the shower- if a person was much bigger than me (UK18) then they would of struggled. Table by the window wobbled, so I didn't sit and use it as I would have liked. Really struggled to find it even with the map directions but great location and cheap price.

The room was massive and had an addition of a hot plate, which saved me some money and was very welcome! Shower was lovely and the wall murals of being in a waterfall were great. Loved the TV being near the bed so I could relax in bed and watch TV.

Location, location, location and having stayed at one of your properties before I knew the facilities would be excellent.

No-one in office, no one answered phone, without Internet access not good service. I had an enquiry before leaving and staff member could not understand English. Door codes were changed without notice on day 2 , why? Was fairly clean,windows desperately cleaning and towels smelt of cheese. These were not changed during stay, why not?

Not enough towels for 4 adults, shower is very high and a proper climb into. Need to switch tv on and keep on to get wifi. Inside doors dont close.. Nothing major but just several niggles... very basic kitchen.

The towels didn’t smell very nice. I don’t know if they had become damp and fusty in the plastic bag.

Pleasantly surprised to get a mini suite of rooms in the attic. Lovely view across to Whitby abbey in the rain. Room equipped with basic kitchen equipment so you can organise yourself something to eat. Think I was lucky with the price and location, because I travelled in March.

Shower was slow flowing. Tea, coffee, milk were not replenished during our 3 night stay.

Smart speaker didn't work. Bedside lamp had no bulb in it.

It was a mini apartment with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, staircase and a small living area. Warm and cosy.

My only problem was how uncomfortable the bed and pillows were. I was really disappointed with the lack of quality of the pillow’s specifically, they were so uncomfortable and throughout the night the covers just slid right off them. It felt like sleeping in a hospital bed. Really gutted because the rest of the accommodation was perfect for us but realistically the most important factor about the room is the nights sleep and we both had a horrible nights sleep

The location was perfect and the check in was simple and easy! Great size room and lovely facilities. And the amazing view of the Abbey was a highlight.

The stairs were too much as I’m the attic, would of preferred lower floor .
