Room colours a little dowdy. Sauce on stake cold but was rectified without fuss and deserts offered FOC.

Our room was very noisy from potential faulty pipe work. Noise went on for hours

There were no enry to the spa from inside the hotel. The bar area was cold.

Beautiful building. This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. Newly refurbished room are lovely. Great location. Clean.

The only problem we had was at breakfast in the potting shed, where there was a long delay over food from the a la carte menu. However the staff were extremely apologetic and tried to minimise the effect on the customers

A certain member of staff kept checking in on us at the bar area. My partner did confront him. And he did offer free drinks. But felt embarrassing because he kept saying what the tab was. So we paid it tipped and also ordered loads more to go back to the room with as we felt out of place. Looks can be deciving and people should not judge a book by its cover. I probably have more money than anyone staying there that night. Apart from that everything else was lovely.

Some of the staff was very polite and nice. But some judgmental because I wasn't the looks type that stays there. I probably spent more money than most people there that night but because I have cauliflower ears I look like a fug.

A very minor thing - Perhaps more signage in the car park - we arrived in the dark and heavy rain and weren't completely sure where to go to check in.

A lovely hotel. Nicely decorated, comfortable and clean rooms, a great restaurant with tasty food and a great atmosphere. The staff were all extremely helpful and we had some good banter with the barman! Couldn't fault much and would definitely recommend.

Nothing really to dislike. We did find it difficult to regulate the heating in the room but otherwise no issues.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Although we didn’t get to use all the facilities the fact that the hotel had them available enabled many ways of keeping entertained should you wish to spend the day at the hotel. The staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times. The location was excellent for our requirements, being tucked away with all the peace and quiet you would want but within easy reach of many towns/villages and attractions.

Location was in the middle of nowhere. Had to drive through a long dark country road but wasn’t much of an issue. Nearest town is 15 minutes drive so there’s no restaurants and you’re better off eating at the restaurant however food is overpriced and wasn’t worth it.

Lovely rooms/facilities. Staff were helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

We booked a table for dinner for a large group in the bar, and everything was great - the food, atmosphere and in particular the service by Kevin who went the extra mile you make sure we had a great evenjng. He even took family photos for us by the Christmas tree. Thank you!

The pool at the spa is not complimentary, even when you are paying for treatments. I don’t think that is right for a spa and instead trying to charge more money to use it for a period of time. You have to book it and costs 28£. It should be complimentary to hotel guests or spa guests.

Beautiful grounds to walk around and great food at the bar. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond at every opportunity
