The stairs to our bedroom but next time I will ask for a lower floor, there was also a big dog barking probably from one of the neighbouring houses Apart from that all was good

Lovely stay breakfast was delicious, staff very friendly Our room was large and we were on the top floor room 11, I think we had the boiler system behind the panel behind our bed as it kept coming on and going off just before we went to bed

Our room No.9 was freezing cold, main raidiator wasn’t working and windows were very drafty partly caused by windy weather. Room above’s shower was very noisy in our room as was the fan in our bathroom .

The shower was too hot and the thermostat would not reduce the temperature. The room was too hot on two hot days. The bathroom light needed a new piece of string - the light kept being turned on or off when the door opened or closed!

The room was well-situated and spacious. The food was very good. The lounge, dining room and bar were excellent. The staff were mostly very professional and all helpful.

The bar area and the restaurant was rather sad. They seemed to be in windowless rooms from what I can remember, although it's a few months ago that we were there.

The house had an elegant Edwardian country house feel. The drawing room's stunning glass stained window is something to behold and it opens onto lovely gardens.

Evening menu a little limited for vegetarians so we ate out which was a bit disappointing however breakfast was very very good

Breakfast, particularly liked the fact that you could make your own toast with ordinary toasters rather then the ones you have wait on a conveyor thing which take ages.

During our stay, the shower in room 8 did not work despite the plumber being called. At breakfast, I requested porridge followed by a cooked breakfast, the porridge never arrived. In the evening we orders a port but were given the wrong measure. I complained and it was changed.

The rooms were hot, no fans. Were able to open the windows to cool down. Bedding -had a doona when just a top sheet would have been fine. It is summer, don’t need such heavy bedding. Very little information available, vertually no wifi. No wifi available in the town either so you needed cash to pay in restaurants as the credit card machines couldn’t access wifi either. Staff had to walk outside holding up the hand held device trying to access your card.

Breakfast was good. Well cooked to order. The location was rural setting which was lovely to look out onto from bedroom windows.
