Hotel probably ready for a bit of a refurbishment but generally in decent condition. Spa available to residents is always a bonus.

The beds/pillows weren't very comfortable, and there were not enough loungers around the pool.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the rooms are large with amazing views if you get one overlooking the golf course. The staff are friendly and helpful and the spa facilities were lovely!

However, booked a twin and got a double, we were on the ground floor so could hear everything going on above, and the wind whistled through a badly insulated window all night. Ate in the bar and the food came out luke warm and breakfast was out of granola pots, my daughter's favourites. Could do with some evening entertainment or some music playing.

The bed. Room 320 - main bed was awful especially right hand side. My husband and I took the turn each night to swap but we both had bad night sleep on right side of bed. Need matress update

We felt there was not enough staff at the swimming pool. To greet you and explain where to go and lockers etc we were left very much on our own. Plus signing in at the Spa reception. When we did find a staff member they were very friendly and helpful.

Room was very comfortable. We enjoyed our dinner in the bar area which very comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant and very nice indeed. With a good variation to choose from.

Stains on the bed runner and on the net curtain at knee level Nail varnish scrape marks around the bath robe pegs A non luxurious set of furniture in the Luxury Suite - the arm chairs and sofa were hard, tired / well used and dated. For a Luxury Suite, it didn’t have the added ‘luxuries’ you’d expect from the label. The room was 3 times as large as a twin or club room but everything else was the same ( toiletries, wardrobe cabinet area , tea/ coffee tray - with an additional small coffee machine. It just had a few more occasional tables , a coffee table (heat damaged in two places) and a desk with two upright chairs.

the o my complaint was the silly locking system in the changing rooms… second time back I thought I’d put it in the same locker but the code wasn’t working and I had to hunt for the locker. but nothing major!

My bed in room 110 near window was extremely hard and duvet extremely lumpy had a very bad night with hardly any sleep sadly

Love this hotel and spa have stayed there many times have always found it very comfortable and relaxing my husband and I call it our “happy place” but this time we stayed in twin bedded room and my mattress was very uncomfortable and duvet was extremely lumpy. Didn’t have a good sleep sadly.

We stayed here last year and we’re given robes and slippers when using the pool and spa area. This time we went and asked but weren’t allowed any, even when we explained we didn’t come prepared and just wanted some shoes to wear around the pool we weren’t allowed any. I do think overall it has gone downhill unfortunately, this will be our last stay.

The room was nice, the view wasn’t as good as we would’ve hoped for but it was a rainy day anyway. The bath was nice size and the shower was good. The breakfast was okay, had both hot and cold options for people.

I love the airy, spacious hotel and its rural setting. The staff were lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. We had room service. The spa is very relaxing and the whole place was calm, peaceful and very restful.

Jacuzzi in spa not warm enough. Ate in the bar in the evening and portion was very small, was disappointed with the food, still hungry after.

Large suite, good value, peaceful surroundings, good view from room. Nice buffet breakfast. Relaxing pool area.
