Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing at all but if I must say something parking is in the road or in a small safe village carpark
Lovely lovely hosts nothing was too much trouble even booking a table for me at the local pub .super clean accommodation. Very comfortable bed would recommend to anyone

That our stay came to an end.
Jean and Mike are wonderful hosts, both friendly and accommodating. Everything key to us was great: happy with the cleanliness of the lodgings, ease of interaction while also giving us our space, comfort of the room (we noted the mattress used so we could get one as well), tips for stargazing and hikes, very willing to cater to our requests, and a breakfast tasty and large enough that sometimes we didn't need lunch. Of course, we did get lunch, but want is different to need! They have many returning guests and we will be happily adding to that list.

Exmoor Lodge was wonderful. Jean and Mike were fantastic hosts and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Lovely room and fantastic breakfast. Couldn't have been better, amazing value and would not hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely nothing.
Mike and Jean made us feel very comfortable from the start to the end of our short break. Cannot recommend them and their hotel enough.

My Boyfriend and I have just returned from a glorious 3 night stay here. Jean and Mike are the most hospitable hosts you could hope for. They made it feel like a second home for us and were more than willing to give advice and service where needed. They run an excellent establishment and a beautiful area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large and spacious. We stayed in the Lavender room which had an excellent bathroom and gorgeous shower. The breakfast was exceptional. There were any options depending on what you fancied and it was made with fresh ingredients which I am.sure were sourced locally. I want to thank Jean and Mike for making a much a needed holiday both relaxing and carefree.

Awesome bed and breakfast in a beautiful little village in the heart of Exmoor . Spotlessly clean , comfortable beds , big fluffy towels and great powerful shower , biggest shout would have to go to the breakfast though which was superb , lots of choice at no extra cost and all yummy . We can't wait for our next visit.

A wonderful place to stay, the property is spotlessly clean, breakfast was excellent. The owners were so friendly & helpful. Peaceful setting in a lovely village. Will definitely be returning to this lovely B&B for a relaxing break. A perfect location for exploring Exmoor.

The only thing missing in the room was a decent size mirror everything else was perfect

The b&b is situated in the heart of a beautiful village and has a lovely garden area you can enjoy. The breakfasts are excellent quality,well cooked and plentiful.fresh milk is provided for the tea and coffee facilities in your room. There is a lovely pub close by (the White Horse)where you can enjoy a drink sitting by the stream or good quality meals.( Jean and Mike are happy to book a table for you ).

The property was beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast gorgeous, nothing too much trouble for Jean and Mike who were the perfect hosts. Made you feel really at home. Poached eggs were wonderful, thanks for showing me how to cook them Jean, it was a revelation! Thanks also for spoiling our dog Teddy. Had a wonderful few days snd can highly recommend exmoor lodge as the perfect place to stay and discover beautiful exmoor.
