The parking is a bit tight, but the building has been there a long time and massive parking spaces weren't required when it was first built.

The food was well prepared and all our choices were of a high standard when presented. Breakfast was spot on, and the porridge made to order was first class. Our rooms were really well equipped and the bathrooms were of a good size. I don't think the location could be bettered, everything within a stone's throw. Chris and his colleagues work really hard to make sure their guests enjoy their stay.

Checkin was 3pm and checkout was 10.30 am which I thought was a little early.

Location was beautiful. Decor of hotel and our room was very comfortable and stylish. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent.

I knew it was a dog friendly hotel but there were too many dogs in the restaurant area at breakfast time. . No double glazing in the bedroom so slightly chilly at night. Had I been staying longer I would have asked for a heater.

Only styed one night. A really nice warm friendly welcoming hotel. Good choice at breakfast. Staff at breakfast were really helpful.

Inadequate parking, had to park well away from the Inn on the first night, then on time controlled single yellow outside the Inn second night - no sleeping in here. Lift broken. Confusion at check-in as I had taken the option of online check-in - it didn’t work. Annoying ‘door bell’ every time food was ready for staff to pick up to take to table. Safe was locked in room. The left hand set of curtains in the room didn’t meet - about 2 feet apart, the right set were fine. No one checked post renovation I’m assuming.

Strangely, our room was only cleaned once (after first night) during our stay, we didn't have towels changed despite of us hanging the note that we are not in and wish to have it cleaned.

Great location just next to the Ullswater lake and fab starting point for discovering the whole lake district. Nicely decorated, spacious room with the lake view. Very dog friendly.

Some of the finishing in the bathroom was below par (grouting/mastic) I assume it was rushed as the hotel had recently been refurbished. The public areas were very nice however.

Was disappointed when I saw it was a buffet English breakfast, however, the quality was excellent and you could select the items you wanted.

Room - Was small for an adult and child, the other people in our party had single occupancy and bigger rooms. There was a hole in the bath towel, which was changed and the bath was tired and needed replacing.

Breakfast was good, wide selection of breakfast items Room was comfortable, very cosy Location was amazing, could view the mountains and lots of amenities close by.
