The windows needed cleaning very badly inside and out. The corridors upstairs were extremely shabby but I think they’re doing up the hotel gradually

The room was very nice, wonderful sea views. Very clean, nice bathroom with a powerful shower. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good 😊 I hope to stay there again

We understand the hotel is old which gives it great character, however I felt quite anxious the first night of our stay as it was quite windy and the windows made a lot of noise and I have to say I constantly woke through the night due to the bed shaking (I’m guessing due to the floor shaking a little) The rest of our evenings were pleasant 👍🏻

Breakfast was amazing! Latte would be a nicer option with the breakfast rather than filter coffee. Location was perfect! Staff were very helpful and friendly. The history of the Great Western displayed at reception was very interesting 🧐 Pub quiz was a lot of fun 😃

Windows could do with a cleaning from the terrace and then it would be a fantastic view!

Such a fantastic place to stay, finally a room with proper coffee/tea facilities (a Nespresso machine! Just top for me). We had such a lovely meal with love music and the lady at reception was very friendly.

Because of the age/heritage of this Victorian building there are some areas that need updating. But the location and ocean views are absolutely fantastic.

The location was excellent with easy access to the beach and you can get a bus beside the hotel to other beaches and the airport.

Bed was a little too soft and the quilt was lumpy.

Excellent, spacious room, lovely sea, view. Very clean and tidy. Every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and ample amount. Lounge bar was comfortable and cosy. Location was perfect for walking into town but if you didn't want to do that the bus stop was right outside the main entrance. Good price.

The windows are as it is called single hung windows that are open vertically and lots of heat from the room escapes because of this reason. If property owner could organise an upgrade to a new style controlled-open windows everyone would be a winner here.

There were few bits and bats but nothing major. The staff is helpful quickly provided me with additional heater when I requested one. The location is superb, you have 180° view of the ocean from the restaurant where the breakfast is served. You can sit there while having your coffee and watch the ocean and people surfing the waves faraway.
