It was the perfect overnight stay for us on our way home South having been in Scotland on holiday. Food was good and our room was clean and comfortable. Would use it again.

It was very noisy in my room on the evening of 3rd April. I understand a reception was going on in the function room, but I was unable to sleep or even think until it was over. I would expect the rooms close by to be soundproofed.

View from the room and entire Gretna Green is set-up for weddings. Visiting as tourist there is not much to see except the blacksmith - and that experience was very expensive

Room slightly too small but fully functional. Pudding not quite as expected - but complained and hotel removed it from bill. A very positive result.

On this occasion there were a few less than desirable features of our stay: there was a continuous noise probably from the plumbing from late evening until 8.05 am when it stopped. However there was a significantly worse commotion right outside our bedroom window from 7am as workmen began operating their machinery and began repair work to the building. We had not been informed of this prior to occupancy. At breakfast I struck my head on a large glass light fitting when leaving our table. The light had partially detached and slightly dropped from the ceiling but was also badly sited. As I had a headache from this I reported it to a waitress who chuckled that she had done it several times after wiping the table! Someone less resilient and more likely to complain may well cause more significant problems for the hotel management.

Have stayed here many times before and enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The location is excellent and the hotel is comfortable and ideal for an overnight stay whilst travelling.

We had a little issue with a drip in the bathroom but it was reported and the gent at the reception was lovely.

Had a wonderful time and all the staff are so friendly especially the restaurant and bar staff in the evenings :) Nothing was too much trouble.

Very comfortable room. Both dinner and buffet breakfast very enjoyable. Ideal location for an overnight stop on trip up to Scotland.

Room was fine but not what I would call luxury as stated on booking.com. no coffee maker or bath as described. Also no little extras like vanity kit or robe

Room was abit dated. But that what our fault. We should have asked to be upgraded if possible. .

It was our wedding venue. The marriage service was at the coach house. Which was stunning. Lovely location. Lovely experience with family and friends. Keith the minister was just brilliant. As was the piper. Thank you to everyone who made our day so special.

Reception weren't able to change cash for myself I had received 10 pound notes from ATM but wanted to exchange then for 50 pound notes in the hotel though it was ridiculous that hotel had all my details and couldn't preform this transaction for me could understand if I walked in off the street asking but all my credit card details were with the hotel

The lady on reception on arrival was quite rude to me when I tried to check in at 2;45 ! I wasn't trying to get into my room, i know check in was 3pm. not the best, first impression!

the food was lovely, breakfast had a great selection of food.
