Great location with excellent and friendly, helpful staff. The food was very and always served efficiently and piping hot. The room was smallish as you would expect for the very reasonable price but it was very comfortable and very clean. Free parking was the icing on the cake.

Being super picky, the windows (inside) and the bedroom mirror could have done with a clean, a few black mould spots on the ceiling, no pillow protectors.

As it was a bargain price and reviews are a little mixed we arrived with low expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. Check in was quick and simple and the room (room 2) was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Complimentary toiletries and tea tray with a selection of hot drinks and biscuits, extra pillows in the wardrobe, even somewhat of a sea view! The Ritz it isn't, but a solid, good quality three star hotel in a fabulous location at a bargain price it certainly is and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. On-site parking is free, which is a huge bonus in Newquay. Breakfast was hot, fresh and tasty and the staff were fantastic, friendly, efficient and professional. Location couldn't be better. A little gem.

As always had to juggle around the car park waiting for a space. They definitely could do with a bigger car park as it's hard to find a space outside the property

The Hotel was looking a little tired but that is not uncommon today, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the only problem we had was the lighting in the room, there was no control over the bedside lights or room lights, they were controlled by one switch by the door or one side of the bed. As it was early season and many restaurants were closed the menu did not change at all over the week, but the food was great,

The location was excellent, the room was comfortable, lighting was an issue, and the bathroom was excellent good control over the shower, although the toilet did need a lot of strength to flush. The food in the hotel was great and the breakfast had an excellent choice.

As we requested twin beds our room was at the front overlooking a busy road with several eating establishments which increased the noise levels.

Breakfast was really good a well cooked full cornish . Enjoyed an evening meal beautifully cooked sea bass with plenty of vegetables The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Could do with some net curtains or blinds on the windows otherwise people in the Travelodge behind the hotel can see directly into your room and vice-versa. Also, water pressure is not great in the bathroom, both with the toilet and the shower, and we note that other people have mentioned this in their comments over the year. So considering this booking was well into the winter season (December), maybe it's not unreasonable to expect the owners to have done something about this by now. However, this was not a biggie and everything else made up for that and would definitely come back

Superb breakfast. Great quality food and excellent service in the restaurant and generally throughout the whole hotel. Location is fairly central and in walking distance of town and beaches, etc.

Nothing really but a minor inconvenience was that the toilet cistern in room 4 was slow to refill resulting in above average delay in re-flushing after use.

Very nice breakfast, good location, friendly, helpful and personable staff and a clean and comfortable room. The Sunday carvery was particularly good both in terms of quality and value.
