Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The only hiccup was a possible faulty thermostat on the shower as it changed from hot to cold and back again.However we reported this before leaving so are sure it will attended to promptly.

The paintwork and decor in my room was tired in places with scuffs and marks from previous occupants. The shower base also needs the black staining around the old sealant removing. Damaged surface on sink unit and front of unit edging is wearing away.
The food was absolutely lovely and so much of it! The small double room was ideal for me as a single traveller and the bed and pillows were soooo comfortable, I really didn't want to get out of bed for breakfast! The staff were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

Everything was positive if I had to pick anything out I would say that the evening meal menu did not have a great selection of steaks only listing rump.
The room was clean and tidy, the breakfast was very good, the staff were helpful and friendly, we had evening meals at the hotel which were also very good. Overall a positive experience and I guess the question is would we make a return visit and we would.

Travelling with older family members to see a sick relative. Had booked dinner for 6.30 two older members not well. Tried to book for 1 hour later. Chef not nice to the receptionist lady because I requested this he was rude to her not happy at all. Ended cancelling dinner and 6 of us ended going up the road for dinner later.

Walls very thin in the rooms, could hear the couple’s conversation next door late in the evening. I don’t drink tea or coffee and though peppermint tea is advertised none available at breakfast or an alternative like hot chocolate sachet in the rooms. Limited choice of cereals.
Very helpful and friendly reception staff, large family room with king size and two singles. Free parking. Easy to get to the university where put son is studying.

Nothing really
From the minute I walked in I was met with a smile and all staff I met made me feel welcome as though I was a regular. Food simple but excellently cooked with more than one gluten free option and reasonably priced. Wine also reasonable priced per glass. Room large, warm (I stayed there due to potential snow disruption) and clean with lovely hot/bath and shower. Asked for a quiet room(got room 41)which looked at a wall and I suspect helped reduce any external noise. Would use that room and this hotel again. Plentiful parking across the road (behind a metal fence). I felt very safe there. Very good in room lighting not one of those places where you only have subdued lighting where you cannot read

Bed was a bit soft for me and the mattress felt tired. Lots of drinkers hanging about at the main entrance on arrival, effin and jeffin. I don't know if that's normal but they do declare that they hold events here on weekends and it does appear the bar is used by locals as a pub.
Quiet surroundings and a recently decorated room in very good order.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately there was a mix up with a family meal at another establishment, fortunately the Hotel could accommodate us at such short notice. The food and service was better than the 'other establishment'.

As the hotel was very quiet the restaurant was closed. Understandable but disappointing
