Nothing we didn’t like

This property is exceptional, clean and tidy and tasteful furnished. In a lovely location and close to Hadrian’s wall walk. Fridge well stocked and Lesley provided tasty meals which we ordered in advance. Lesley was very friendly and welcoming.

There was no sign at the junction with the main road to indicate that this was the track to the barn. There really really should be some signage there.

We were walking Hadrian's Wall and it was quite dark when we arrived. They were wonderful and friendly, and dropped us off at the pub. The next day we unfortunately left something behind and our host drove and met us so we could be reunited with our lost belongings. The accommodation is lovely, nice setting, large and well equipped. Food is provided so you can prepare breakfast for yourself in the morning, which suited us. Overall very nice place which we hope to re-visit in the future.

Lovely owner & the home cooked food was brilliant. Very clean & nice little touches like fresh orange juice , milk , roast ham & fresh cheddar in the fridge. Great little get away or stop if travelling

Hadrian's Barn exceeded my expectations and more. Delightful setting. lovely facilities - loved the books and games. Superb and generous dinner and breakfast. So convenient for walking Hadrian's Wall. And Lesley was so welcoming.

Very comfortable accommodations about 10 minutes walking from Hadrian’s Wall path. The barns are well furnished. Plenty of food for breakfast and lunch the next day. The owners are extremely accommodating - after a particularly long and hot 17 mile day on the path, our group was too tired to travel into town for dinner. The owner was gracious enough to make us lasagne with sides; normally we would need to pre-arrange this. We were very thankful for this kindness!

An amazing place to stay. Quiet, convenient and considerate. The location is really quiet, and peaceful. The accommodation is well furnished and I really liked the style. Various allergy appropriate foods were provided by the host, including a welcomed beer and snacks. I opted for an evening meal from the host, and this was very nice and plentiful indeed, all perfect for refuelling. The room temperature was ideal for me and I enjoyed the best nights sleep of my trip. Breakfast was provided, with a varied mix of cereals, and an option of fresh tomatoes, ham, cheese and Spanish omelette. The facilities in the kitchenette were really useful for getting the perfect toast or brew.

Hadrian's Barn was truly fantastic. The studio was gorgeous, food was amazing and beds were very comfortable. Very clean, good bathroom.

Stunning property with very comfortable beds and sofa. My son enjoyed using Netflix and we both enjoyed the coffee table books. Lovely selection of food to make breakfast and a packed lunch . Did not want to leave . The massive windows in the living room and bedroom make you feel really close to nature while being cosy indoors.

There was nothing I didn’t like

very comfortable, nicely furnished in a unique style.Private and relaxing. Lesley was a lovely host, nothing was too much trouble, even went out and got us a bottle of wine. The evening meal was delicious, would definitely recommend and breakfast was pleasantly different from the usual traditional option.

What a lovely stay we had, the converted building was amazing and fully self contained living eating and sleeping, finished to a very high standard and host couldn't do any more to ensure had everything for our stay. Will definitely be back.

Great self service breakfast option and for those (like us) walking Hadrian's made a change from all the fried breakfasts - plus all set up to also make your own packed lunch. Great option to have a home cooked meal delivered in the evening meaning you're able to relax (just remember to pick up a bottle of wine in town).

It was spacious, clean and the gardens were lovely! I stayed here the night before our wedding, and they were so kind to let us check out late and get ready at the barn! Couldn't have chosen a better place!

I arrived after a long day hike (was doing the full Hadrian's Wall Path hike), and I'd decided to treat myself after 3 nights camping with a stay at Hadrian's Barn: what a treat!! I stayed in this self-contained house with huge living room, bathroom bedroom. With dinner served in it, decoration is great and comfort was 5-stars!! Will definitely looking to stay again should I ever travel in the area in the future.
