As a smoker, I couldn’t find an area to smoke, although it was probably discreetly hidden.

such a well maintained property in a beautiful location. It exceeded all of my expectations, with a small number of guests and a very personal atmosphere with the staff. All of the staff we met were very polite, helpful and made our stay absolutely wonderful.

The suasages if I was being picky ...

The accomodation was amazing, The blue room where we stayed was one of the most beautiful rooms I've ever stayed in. It was spacious and the decor was stunning. We felt like Lord and lady of the manor.

The property is in the country side and away from shops abd restaurants although we did get a reasonable meal at a pub not too far away.

The grandeur of this property was impressive and when you stay here you do feel like Lord and Lady of the Manor. We were originally booked into the Gokd Room but the owner upgraded us to the Blue Room. This was extremely comfortable beautiful furnishings and all round excellent. We had a nice breakfast and overall enjoyed our stay.

    Nothing.

Gorgeous period property with wonderful features set in beautiful grounds. Loved that I was allowed to let my dogs run around the gardens. Huge bedroom with stunning views. Best bath ever. Owner and her colleague were lovely, very welcoming, and went the extra mile. Superb breakfast.

    No issues come to mind.

A beautiful period property, an airy bedroom, comfortable bed and all beautifully decorated. Our breakfast was most enjoyable. We only stayed one night to break our journey, but would have liked to stay longer. You definitely need a car to stay at Heads Nook as no evening meals are available and the nearest pubs/restaurants are at least a couple of miles away.

Breakfast was not good. Kippers had been frozen and were very watery. The breakfast table let itself down by providing little marmalade sachets and butter pats. I would expect the marmalade etc to be in nice China bowls to suit the surroundings. The toast was of very poor quality. Such a shame because Heads Nook Hall has all the trappings of a fine house. Beautifully clean and the staff were lovely. I do hope you find this observation is taken in the spirit in which it is meant. Improvements in these areas would make a stay just perfect. Also the dining room cries out for evening meals...what a setting.

We thought the rooms were extremely comfortable, clean and well furnished. A pleasure to stay there. We shall definitely return.

Nothing, keep up the good work!

We arrived after getting married and had booked the Blue Room. What a special place! We loved the grand entrance, the terracotta fountain, the warm and informative welcome! Our room was sublime, pure elegance and comfort. There is a communal breakfast room and places to lounge around. The grounds were lovely and there was nature everywhere. It's a short drive to several pubs for food and we also visited the nearby leisure club for a swim and sauna - everyone super friendly and the surrounding area very quaint. This place is doggy friendly and we will certainly be returning for a longer stay next time with our pooches.

It is a beautiful quiet retreat close to Hadrian's Wall. You don't even know anyone else is staying there until breakfast, Impressed they have an honesty bar in the lounge (that we never used)... a nice touch.

A request sheet is provided the night before and you can choose what you want. Wonderful mushrooms and black pudding.

Could hear the TV of another room (difficult to remedy this in a period property).

The period property, the proximity to the M6 (as was a stop off on the way to Scotland), the comfort of the room and the views.
