Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Arab EmiratesAfter the first night, we asked the room service not to come in because the child who was with me was ill and needed to rest. We said that the room did not need any cleaning and we just needed fresh cups, but we were told that we should either wash our cups or vacate the room for cleaning, and it was not possible for them to get the dirty cups at the door and give us clean cups. This was very strange and I didn't really like the attitude. Also, we wanted to check out, there was no one at the reception, so I had to video record myself leaving the key at the reception desk just in case. I can, however, understand that these things may happen in small guest houses.
The room and the ensuite bathroom were clean. I was travelling with a child as her guardian, and she needed the heating on. Although it was too early in the year to turn the heating on, the person in charge helped to put the heating on and brought us an extra blanket. She was very helpful in this respect.

FranceThe shower system is not so easy to use. More hangers in the wardrobe would be great. The breakfast is free so it's basic but still good. No take away for breakfast and available later than usual on the weekend.
Cleanliness, friendly staff, quiet area no noise, free parking, guesthouse near the tube station, comfortable beds, fridge in the bedroom!!! Kettle tea,milk,coffee, and biscuits. The garden is very nice!

United KingdomThe room was very hot even though it wasn't particularly warm outside and the radiator in our room was off. Although our bed was comfortable our daughter was in room 9 and the mattress here was very firm.
The hotel was in a good location with easy access to a number of restaurants. Although we didn't use it the nearest tube is only a few minutes walk away. There is parking for 4 cars out the front but there are more rooms than this so you may have to park on the street. This is permit holders only between 9 and 5. The room itself had everything we needed including a small fridge.
