How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Lotion was empty, corridors are old, receptionist didn’t want to give invoice for my employer as it was done via booking - never met it before.

The new car parking charges

room was noisy with air conditioning outside the pillows were feathers we asked for no room cleaning but they did it anyway which was annoying there was no gluten free options and no gluten free bread for breakfast, i always bring my own as there never is lotsof stairs which was difficult for me with 3 to go down to get to the lift and no hand rails
good location staff were very accommodating warm room nice room despite the noise

Everything was ok. Car park charges not really pleasant. Hope Hilton will review it. £8.50 for overnight stays a bit steep.

No notice that you now have to pay for the car park. It has been free for years. This was a bit of a let down

I haven’t stayed in Hilton’s for a while as they’re quite hit and miss. This Hilton is wonderful, great gym facilities and a sauna. The rooms are immaculate and spacious and really comfortable beds. I’ll definitely be staying again when I’m working in the area!

The room was cold & I couldnt find where to operate the temperature. I ended up having to double up the duvet to stay warm.
The bedroom was modern & clean. All staff at the hotel were friendly & helpful. The gym facilities were very good although I did have to queue for a treadmill at 06.15 as there's only 2 available.

When I checked in my name wasn't registered correctly , although it didn't cause an issue with the check in I could not use the free wifi connection in my room because it needed my Surname and the room number. I only stayed one night and was late going to bed so the lack of wifi wasn't really an issue. But if you have any issues with your last name not being correct it may effect you connecting to the wifi , so check with reception first.
Room was very clean modern and comfortable. The breakfast was great and a good selection.

The bathroom was a little on the small side but otherwise the room itself was spacious and the bed very comfortable.
Clean, smart hotel with a lovely outdoor area to sit and while away some time. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food. Staff were friendly and very professional. The gym had everything you need for a decent workout. They also gave a sauna which isn’t listed on their website so be sure to bring your swimming costume.

Poorly signed from A3 direction. I drove straight past the turning - specially awkward with lots of roadworks. Parking charge - outrageous because they can.
It was easy access from M25. Really good breakfast buffet. Adequate dinner menu but not very exciting. Beer ok. Room very good with a massive walk-in shower.

Parking charge is ridiculous after spending £95.00 on a room, then £30 for breakfast. The staff were rude in reception and not helpful at all. I was paying for parking and heard two staff members giggling to themselves and swearing to each other.
