Restaurant/bar menu was very limited. What we chose was very nice, just would have been nice to have a bit more choice Drinks quite expensive

Breakfast was excellent - amazing spread, so much choice and really good quality fayre Room was good - clean and comfortable. Location is lovely, but didn't like being told we weren't allowed to go anywhere unless golfing

The club booking for the pool was additional and was not based on time, we booked in the evening for a day but couldn't use it next day.

The surrounding was very pretty and the breakfast was elaborate.

Felt it’s a bit far away to get to nearest town. The carpets are old and with stains etc. There should have been some activity esp on weekend nights like a live music or some games etc that would have made it more lively . It felt like so gloomy with people just coming and sitting to eat or in bar. It felt not much for people with young family as no other activities for kids ; it would be lovely if they can have a play area( indoor and outdoor) with some stuff.

Lovely old building with lots of space. There is decent size indoor pool and hot tub, sauna etc but if it summer and busy it would be very cramped up. Kids get a welcome gift and hot chocolate vouchers which is nice gesture .

Additional fees for use of the pool/leisure facilities and £30 additional fee for one short haired dog for one night. Cob webs on the ceiling. Noise of banging and squealing from guests in the room upstairs was so bad I had to speak to the night manager as I was concerned. This went on for a considerable length of time.

Lovely interior. Dinner was lovely but pricey. Spa was well maintained and had a diverse range of facilities. Very relaxing and the kids enjoyed it.

Dated in places, the restaurant menu is at odds with the feel of the place - pizzas, burgers etc. but we chose salads and they were pretty good

The pool is a good size, nice sauna too and good changing room facilities. Large, well equipped gym. One of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had, huge variety and full English cooked to order as it was a quiet Saturday morning. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and welcoming.

    Cleanliness of room.

We had stayed here before, about a year ago, and I am afraid the cleanliness of the hotel had deteriorated. Underneath the beds in the room was filthy, and there was no water provided in the room, which was disappointing.

That we had to pay for the pool access. A small fridge in the bedroom would be handy for drinks and fresh milk. The bar area was cold and the food menu didn’t offer much.

Beds are comfy, access to the pool, countryside location, breakfast is amazing, the staff are even more amazing.

A loud whistling noise (from outside?) woke us up in the early hours on our first night. It lasted for about five plus minutes. The shower and shower curtain were rather old fashioned. The hot water for the bath at 5pm was not very hot, although the basin hot water was very, or too, hot!

Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. We liked the 'trug' of cutlery, etc, for each table. What a good idea for both staff and customers! Polite and helpful service. We enjoyed our evening meal too. Again, a good choice from the menu. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and pleasant. We were very impressed with the Christmas decorations! They were beautifully and tastefully done!

Beds are firm to hard which wouldn’t be my first choice for a longer stay and menus are short on healthy and vegetarian options but staff happy to help to find you alternatives.

The staff welcome and friendliness throughout was lovely and made my stay. Robbie, Becky and Chrissie were really great- lovely on-site pool and well equipped gym, amazing breakfast buffet and nearby to Tewkesbury which is certainly worth a visit for its ancient Church and hidden passageways, Room was comfortable and the Christmas decorations were beautiful

I didn’t like the dirt around the toilet pan. It hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time trust me. I had to clean it before I could use it also there was what looked like cake crumbs on one of the bedside tables so it was clearly not wiped clean before I used the room. Housekeeping was not great have to say.

Breakfast was very good and the location was very good too

Bit disappointed in the food offered. Over priced in my opinion and not a great selection on the menu.

Room and staff were great as was the pool.
