How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very expensive food and drink
Comfortable bed, great location for staying after going to Warnwr bros. Studios. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

The Overall experience wasn't bad. The rooms definitely need a refurbishment and a bit more attention to small cleaning details mainly cobwebs and dust
Check in staff and breakfast buffet staff were over the top extraordinary. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we had, fresh and tasty as well as excellently presented.

Furnishing like TV stand and carpet had dirt marks.

The breakfast was brilliant, but more so because of the friendliness of the staff. There was an older genteman who was incredibly helpful and attentive.

Non existent room service, lack of menu in room and poor reception service. As a female solo traveller, having to go to the bar to collect drinks and then failing to have a full a la crate menu in the room to choose from, SAA poor. No breakfast menu either and no answer from reception.

It was incredibly basic accommodation for the high price paid. I think next time I'd maybe look for a boutique hotel or family room for the money.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was very good. They set up the pull our sofa bed prior to arrival which was appreciated

Food at breakfast was cold Very poor pillows full of air so offered little to no support and temerature in the room fluctuated through the night without any apparent input
The breakfast was ok but colder than expected, staff were very friendly and helpful and the food we had in the evening was exceptional The location was ok for our onward destination

I asked for cutlery called down stairs spoke to reception asked if it could be sent to my room I would they would bring to right up and nothing was sent ended up eating with tea spoons. No fridge for Hilton I would expect that.

The room hade a wierd smell like black mold and the cleaning was terrible I found some malteser chocolate from former guests that had stayed there under the bed and breadcrums in the carpet and dirtstains in the carpet the shower was coverd with a layer of dirt it just felt filthy.
The only thing i liked was the breakfast it was amazing and it was a gentleman named jamie who was one of the sweetest and kindest man i have met he made the whole stay at hiltons in watford.

It stated that room service was available 24/7 however when we attempted this, I was informed that they could not bring drinks to the room and we would have to go downstairs. We only wanted some zero coke.
The bed was so comfortable and the pillow 🥰 I want some. Reception staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful

The mould on the tiles In the bathroom The hair in the plug The pull out bed was uncomfortable and the lack of spear pillows When I tried to ring reception no one answered, I tried several times! And the conditioner was empty (why display something if u don’t have it!)

The bed and the pull out sofa bed were really uncomfortable, came home with bad backs.

The pillows were a little flat but putting them together made for a good nights sleep. This is a tiny thing and really just personal preference so others may not agree
The breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. There was a good choice of options. The room was clean and I had a really good nights sleep as the mattress was good. The staff really helpful and friendly. The price is excellent and offers much better value than even Travel lodge or Premier Inn

Unclean bedrooms with cobwebs on the ceiling throughout the room and unclean bathroom.

The single bed was too bouncy, and breakfast felt overpriced.
