Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The hotel was perfect for a short stay. Really comfortable beds and had all the facilities you expect. Also right next to the tube station so easy to get around.

United KingdomThe room was not clean, specifically the bathroom. The shower could use a proper scrub. The door to the bathroom did not close and the toilet seat was loose. The metal on the bathroom lamp was also rusty. Moreover, the bed did not have proper sheets. The cover moved around since it did not hug the matress. It was just like a tablecloth. A little gross to have the matress exposed. The spotlights were also faulty. At 6:45 am I woke up to a noise that sounded like machine work. The vibration was so bad that I was not able to fall back to sleep. It went on for about an hour. In my opinion, all these things bring down the overall impression significanty. Especially the lack of cleanliness and upkeep in the bathroom. This is unfortunate because this hotel has great potential.
The room was of a decent size and had nice wooden furniture. The street view was cute and I loved the location. Just minutes away from the underground.

United States of AmericaThe wifi connection wasn't as strong at times, but it got the job done. Additionally, the air conditioner wasn't as cold as I would have wanted, but thankfully it wasn't necessarily hot during my stay.
For one person, the room was the perfect size, just what I needed. Nothing major to complain about, an overall satisfying stay. Staff was also helpful throughout my time from start to finish thankfully.

United KingdomBut the room overlooking the tube line and the noise to go with it wasn’t amazing xx loved the position just didn’t love the noise xx Breakfast was awful??? I’m really sorry for this, honestly I am, chewy bacon, dry sausages that have less meat than I’ve ever had the misfortune of ever eating, under seasoned scrambled egg that wasn’t nice xx Didn’t try anything else.
The location was brilliant, I really like my trip down memory lane, Earl’s Court was my start into the world of catering xx

United KingdomAt about 1am the radiator started making a horrific screeching sound that went on for about 45 minutes. Very narrow corridors with no space for passing other people, especially when handling luggage. Bathroom was small, no leg room when sitting on the loo, no hand towel or bath mat provided.

United KingdomThe shower didn't work at all, and when we discussed this was staff on checkout (found out late at night with no one on the desk and a 1 day trip) they didn't seem to care much, and only after we pushed did he make a note to get it reported. Additionally, the bath tap had a constant stream of boiling water pouring out - had obviously been like this a long time as there was a build of Limescale in its path and the colour in this are had faded massively. Bathroom also needed a proper clean, there were toothpaste marks all over the door. Bedside socket didn't work at all, and the bedside lamp had a huge chunk missing at the base. Left a lot to be desired.
Location was amazing, was quick to check in and staff were helpful in getting us to our room. Room itself was nice enough.

JapanThere was only one plug I could really use to charge all my electronics comfortably and no outlets near the bed (stayed in a single room on the first floor) also the walls were paper thin, so definitely bring earplugs if you want a decent night’s sleep.
The location was really close to the station (less than 5 minutes walk) and easy to get to some prime locations (V&A and Natural History Museums, Kensington Palace, Gardens, and on the Piccadilly so you can train straight to/from Heathrow, etc.) also lots of quick bites and cheap food options nearby.
