Too far to walk into Chester. Sadly due to 'new buildings' our walk into town was unpleasant and a little unnerving - we had to keep crossing a busy road to find pavement/sidewalk to walk safely. Would not suggest 'to walk' and emphasis buses OR provide a shuttle to your Racecourse Hotel from where it is safe to walk in a few minutes into town. Sadly. we will not stay with you again, sorry.

Quality of the sausages and bacon for breakfast. I'd rather pay at extra pound to have meat from the butchers rather than from Costco. The room was a bit tired and dated.

Took an hour to find location of hotel. Just off roundabout. Price we paid was expensive and breakfasts was not included.

Cold and humid room, very noisy -all noises from hallway and other rooms coming through. All pillows same even promised more options. Breakfast very basic and quite limited.

Nothing major, room key didn't work at first. Needed to be re programmed. One of the glasses had 2 chips so shouldn't have been left in the room. The room was extremely hot on arrival, and took a long time to get cooler via the thermostat.

The facilities, and the staff were professional, helpful and cheerful 😊 The food was wonderful. We ate in the evening, and also had the breakfast which had a great selection.

Bed was too hard. Pillows very soft. Hotel looking tired in places, ready for revamp.

The WiFi in the room had no internet connection even after signing in, and no phone signal in our room so I had no WiFi or data internet during my stay, which was a problem.

The food in the restaurant was extremely overpriced, £18.50 for scampi and chips was very steep.

The location was good, and the fact there was a pool was a lively touch, although it could really do with some TLC.

Breakfast was a bit limited and glad it was included in the price cos wouldn't have paid for it. Definitely had a lot better breakfasts elsewhere hotel was a little confusing with all the corridors and stairs but we got there in the end

Room was v clean and everything appeared to be newly decorated. nothing was broken. Biscuits and drink making facilities was an added bonus. free parking was a bonus too staff friendly

There was lots of dog hair embedded into the carpet and brown/ orange stains on one of our towels. It would’ve been helpful to have a little information card in the room regarding breakfast & dinner time as well as checkout times. There wasn’t a huge selection at breakfast but what I ate was very tasty.

Every member of staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! The bed was comfy and the extras in the room made our stay feel very comfy and welcomed (eg, hand cream, a safe, coffee machine, mini fridge).

Or only negative, but it didn’t affect our stay was that it was beginning to look a little tired in places. When sat in hot tub the roof and area around it looked very worn.

The staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Some lovely attention to detail with the Easter treats. We loved the facilities and the breakfast was very good too.

Didn’t notify us of charge for 2 dogs, the charge was sneakily added on and we didn’t notice until we checked our bank statement. I stated 2 dogs on the extra info request but there was not mention of how much dogs were, nor did they tell us at reception when paying.

Breakfast good, hotel clean, good value and kids had fun in the pool.

Room was not well cleaned. Some cobwebs in corners. Stains on connecting door and residue on television table. Solution for problem with our Netflix server was requested at reception, but no one came to sort it out.

Corridors where a bit long.

We liked the quietness and comfort of the room and the fact that it had blackout curtains. The gym and swimming pool are also good.

Booked a twin bedded room but only given a double bed. We were very tired when we arrived so did not complain as by then we did not want to wait around and change rooms. Requested two larger glass beakers for the room as only small ones in bathroom - I need to have at least a half glass of water through the night and when I awaken!

Dinner was good but not exceptional - hotel had problems with suppliers and could not offer any Pizzas that were on the menu. Breakfast was a good standard self service style - suiting most guests who want to get on with their day and not labour too long over the meal. Room was comfortable, clean and a good standard.

Restaurant had limited choice not just for one night but three. Basic salad, pasta, rice were unavailable. Presentation was also poor with tuna dolloped on top of a jacket potato. To add to this we were more than encouraged to add a sizeable gratitude fee.

Friendly staff and clean environment, help available when needed. Breakfast was lovely and abundant.
