How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room in the back of the hotel, level minus 1 : should be indicated when booking and a discount should be applied.
Very good location for a short stay in London Not too noisy but could be better Room was fine for a 2-night stay

The bathroom was tiny with no windows and had a strange door which you could see inside through the large gaps with the sink outside the bathroom inside the sleeping area which didn't feel right but despite this not being my preference it didn't hinder our stay at all. With our room on the ground floor right next to the walk way and reception area we experienced a lot of outside noise late at night with passers-by and the squeak of the main front door. You could feel the vibration of the tube beneath when it passed through so if you need silence this may not be for you.
The hotel was a short walk from main train stations Euston and Kings Cross with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores situated nearby. The hotel is a small but suitable sized room for the two of us and had what it needed for our two night stay over. Staff on the reception area were really friendly and happy to help.

The property was perfect for us, there are no lifts which may be a problem for less able people, however there are not many stairs to climb.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, housekeeping to be congratulated. The room was small but it had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The proximity to St Pancras/Kings Cross was ideal for our early morning trip on Eurostar. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

As a tall guy, the staircases could probably use some signs to mind your head as ended up hitting a few doorways as they are quite low.
Incredible location and exactly what we were looking for, no frills hotel perfect for solo travellers on work trips, clean small room with private bathroom, great place to use as a base when you are going to be spending a lot of time out and about in the city and need a comfy bed to return to at night. 24 hour reception who look after keys so always someone on hand if needed. Incredible water pressure and better than expected shower. Just far enough away from KingsX to be able to get a quiet nights sleep.

Bathroom was very small. Didn’t mind the sink in the shower but the door and the toilet have been very narrow if you‘re on the bigger side.
Great and very convenient location to explore London.

Stairs to the rooms are fairly narrow.
Great location near Kings across station. Room on small side but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Tiny room but ok for travelling as you only sleep in it. All I really missed was a small fridge to keep my water cold.
Excellent location near Kings Cross and St. Pancras, making it incredibly convenient for getting to and from the hotel. The room was small yet comfortable and had a TV and a safe. No problems with check-in and check-out, and the staff were very friendly. Great for the price.

No toiletries in room, but I always take my own. Room at top floor with no lift, but I knew that on booking so no issue.
Very clean and well appointed. Quality for the price was exceptional. Staff were happy and helpful. Iron and ironing board available. WiFi had a strong signal. TV had lots of channels. Ensuite bathroom good for the price.

Being able to book breakfast would have been helpful, esp. if we had stayed longer.

Need to upgrade the security to the rooms as it is not too safe. Also, need to have a lift as cannot move heavy luggages
The location is good as it is walking distance to Kings Cross stations. The rooms are clean

It would be great to include breakfast, but helpful to have 10% off at a nearby cafe which was excellent

An option for a breakfast box would have been a nice touch, and a bottle of water in the room/or a glass to use. It was quite noisy between the rooms, ear plugs were needed.
Fantastic location close to Kings Cross/St Pancras. Room was comfortable and Clean. Staff were very welcoming and polite. We were able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check out which was a huge help.
