Not a dislike but car parking is a little tight, but at least there is parking available unlike a lot of properties.

The location is high above the promenade, giving spectacular views of the North Bay and castle from the front bedrooms and dining room. The breakfast was superb, even for my wife who is vegetarian - all food hot and tasty!

Probably if I had to say something, it would be the amount of stairs that you have to go up to get to the 4th floor, but then it's not their fault I have bad knees. But Louisa did call us before she took any money to see if we'd be OK on the 4th floor. It was me that decided to go for it. But it was worth it

Only thing we found a little awkward was having to sit on designated tables for breakfast. Appreciate the need to keep everything organised, but sitting directly next to people we didn't know whilst trying to talk about our plans etc was slightly awkward. The bed was very firm.

The breakfast was very generous and freshly cooked to order each morning. Excellent if you like large portions. Our room was clean and tidy and had a great view from the 4th floor - the stairs were a workout but we were warned and do not criticise this aspect.

Hosts/Staff were very kind, fun-filled & hospitable. A wonderful breakfast was available to set you up well to explore the area. Comfortable, clean & convenient location. Congrats Howdale!

Small uncomfortable bed as too soft

Spotless accommodation. Owner went out of her way to move us from top floor to first floor due to my husbands disability which was really good of her. The only thing I could say that want the best was the bed was really small and very soft so quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was lovely

We were on the top floor which was quite a climb, but to be fair to Louisa she contacted us before taking the payment for the booking and pre warned us I was very impressed with her honesty and consideration.

Louisa is a very attentive and friendly host and the Hotel is very clean and comfortable, it is also very central for both bay's and the town.

Everything fantastic!

Louisa was extremely accommodating, from phoning us up before our stay to ensure we were ok with a room on the top floor with no lift to being extremely cheerful on check in and each morning during breakfast. It’s clear she’s very passionate about making each stay extremely enjoyable. Breakfast was lovely, efficient and ran like clockwork. Being quite a small B&B, breakfast was a nice chance to chat to other customers. Louisa gave great recommendations for what to do in Scarborough. The cleaning lady was lovely, and rooms were cleaned to a very high standard. The tea, coffee and refreshments in the room were great. Location absolutely fantastic! Everything brilliant!
