Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United Arab EmiratesI witnessed the most hostile, aggressive and racist receptionist ever where the individual on duty refused to check in a young lady turning 18 in 3 days even though she was accompanied by an adult friend, and had her guardians consent. They had no place to go and new to the country as an international student. He was simply being difficult and stubborn, and it was disgusting to see an international hotel chains reputation be tarnished by such an individuals behaviour..
Comfortable room size and location had easy access to bus stops and train station. Breakfast included but would have been more enjoyable if hot items were actually warm and fresh. .

United KingdomLack of attention to detail. Room was very dusty and some hairs left in bathroom. Hash browns at breakfast could do with cooking through. Had to ask for coffee machine to be topped up. For the price we paid, we would expect to leave an exceptional review but can’t due to these things.

Hong KongRoom floor is not clean. Given the day we visited was windy and rainy, looking forward to a a hot shower. However, the water pressure of shower was super low, and the water came out to a trickle, not to mention, just warm water. Ended up telling my young kids, to wait to take a bath when we returned home the next day. Didn't want them to catch a cold. Our checkout was 12 noon. Our train back to London was at 1:50pm. Asked to leave our heavy duffle bags at hotel for an hour while we got in some last minute shopping and grab a quick lunch around town. Every other hotel I have been to, would let us leave it at the luggage storage room, however, here, they charged 3 pounds sterling for each bag! ( I had 3) Even for an extra hour or so!
The location to the train station just steps away, as well as to restaurants and the North Lane, where you can find lots of little shops and restaurants. The reception staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast which was included in our package was decent.
