Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Property is a bit dated, room was fine but the bathroom had a very strong sewage smell from the drains
You always know what you get with Ibis and I always seek them out when whenever I can. Location very central with good links everywhere

Breakfast, wasn't hot or refreshed enough, hash browns were cold and stale, no staff about much to ask for help, wouldn't pay for breakfast there again. Bedroom needed blanket option, and extra pillows.
Handy for train Station, and parking at Queens Street car park, short walk.. Handy for all points of interest of Manchester. Very welcoming staff on arrival, very helpful.

Only one hard pillow . There are no instructions on lights or heating... but found them eventually. No hand towels. Towels were thin, a bit poor. An extra blanket would have been welcome as a bit cold at night, and I didn't want noisy heating on. The carpet was quite stained. l didn't like to walk barefoot. 2 tea bags were a bit mean. We arrived earlier than expected but was told it would be £10 for arrival early, but offered if l signed up for an lbis card, it would be waived. I thought that was a bit strange but signed up so we could get into the room. But l didn't get given an lbis card, so I assumed l just got the app.

The noise outside the window is so loud, Sirens, drunk people etc. The bed wasn't too comfy either.

The carpet in the room was very dirty and there was no toilet brush or coat hanger in the room except for a small dresser.
We liked the staff and the location. The breakfast was very tasty also.

I thought the room itself reminded of the room on a ferry. For the price I have stayed at many better hotels.

Housekeeping quite noisy outside of my door (with their trolley stocking up towels/linen & chatting) woke me up at 8am on a Sunday morning. Could still hear them through earplugs. Window was locked so no fresh air. Not exactly 'budget' prices either...
Very clean room and bathroom. The bed was comfortable! Nice spacious shower. Modern feel.

i put a request to have the room made to look romantic like with rose petals and stuff which didn’t happen

The roads around are quite busy and there is some noise from emergency vehicles.
Location is excellent for getting about. Parking right across the road for overnight. Breakfast was Brilliant 😊.

Toilet door didn’t shut - it didn’t fit to shut. We didn’t reach out to staff as we made do with only being there for one night so I appreciate we could’ve probably been moved, but it was odd this wasn’t apparent before we were given the room.

Honestly, all my needs were met and I have zero niggles. That said, the bacon at breakfast was a bit too streaky :D

Few things that needed updating/renewing in room/bathroom to keep it looking fresh and clean but nothing major. The main thing for me was that it was clean and it was.
Within good walking distance of everything needed. Clean, comfortable and everything thought of that you could need and really friendly helpful staff. First time staying here, would usually stay at a Premier Inn but other than

Messed up our booking made 3 months prior. We got a double room as planned but the twin room had to be a disabled room with the beds together to give more floor space for frames and wheelchairs. The children had to sleep in a different corridor and passed the lifts. We had to keep going back and forth especially as they did not want to use the disabled shower. The rooms could have been cleaner eg powder on carpet and smell of baby powder.
Walkable to 2 train stations. The bathroom pod. Opening windows. Lift.
