    Mattresses very thin and cheap, limited menu and ran out of items on menu. Also there small lounge/bar area was used by budget hotel also and at times no room for clients of actual hotel

    Nicely situated for where I wanted to go, also 3 min walk to train station. Most staff friendly and helpful

    Ventilation (or lack of). Similar to many modern hotels that don't wish to invite expense/maintenance/running costs of effective air con.

    Locked out of my room at 11 am when checkout is 12. Had to waste time going to the front desk to be let into a room I had paid to use until 12. If the checkout time is 12, make the key card work until 12.

    The bathroom was dated and the plugs for sink and bath were broken, bath plug was jammed open and sink plug jammed shut so couldn’t use the sink at all

    Wish there was a separate hand/hair towel. So a hand towel, hair towel and bath towel. Shower unit was tired and very loose and came off the wall but was easy to slot back in. (The screw came out and notified reception upon check out) The grip grid on the bath probably needs redoing as it was a bit slippy.

    Paid for breakfast for 1 morning. Selection was small but hot and cooked well. Staff were very friendly and room was a good sign, clean and comfy.

    My first room had a broken sink plug fitting that meant that the sink wouldn't drain at all. This should have been picked up by housekeeping, and makes me wonder how attentive they are in their work. The reception staff dealt with a room change quickly and efficiently, to their credit Now for the big gripe. This was my third vist to this hotel in the last few weeks,( it is very convenient for where I am am working as a contractor). Every time I have stayed here I book breakfast, as I need it before heading to work. The breakfast selection is pretty good for the money, which is not the problem. The problem is that all of the ingredients for the hot breakfast options are stone cold. This has been the case on all 3 stays here. I get to the breakfast room at opening time (6.30), so it hasn't been sat out for ages. This does make me wonder how well the food has been cooked, with regards to food hygiene issues. If the food was hot when it came out and is getting cold in the heated storage, this also doesn't bode well. Come on Ibis, you are getting most things right, but this is a real issue, and at the price you're charging for breakfast your customers deserve better.

    The location is good for working in Southampton. The staff are friendly and helpful. The parking is charged for, but there is plenty of it. The beds are very comfortable with nice bedding.

    Shower. There is good water pressure but the shower head has practically no flow. Maybe the management tries to save water by reducing the water flow in the shower head. The shower is useless as it is now.

    Accessible room a bit cramped though bathroom & walk in shower fine

    Full English really is just that. Food facilities generally ideal for this type of hotel. Limited menu available 24/7. Dog friendly too.

    Only one small elevator.

    Full English breakfast or buffet were excellent and moderately priced. Room was small but functional. Only one lift (elevator) and it is small - creates a problem when trying to get lugage down to the lobby.

    Didn’t expect to be charged £10 for overnight parking. Arrived 2 hours early and was told, in a rather perfunctory manner, I could not check in unless I paid £10 p/hour, so I sat & waited. Not even offered a coffee. After 90 mins another receptionist said I could now check in.

    Rooms need a bit of an update. Old bathtub, no shower. Ventilation was not working in my room

    Nice and friendly staff, hotel conveniently located, especially for those who are boarding a cruise ship the next morning. Breakfast is OK but don't come too late because you won't have many options left

    There was only 1 EV point for 3 hotels and that belonged to the novertel. There were no and towels in the rooms and when asked we were told they do not give them out. I think this is basic requirement for a hotel, I would expect this in the budget hotel The carpets in the rooms were filthy, looks like some one had been sick in bed and not been cleaned properly and lots of other stains, I felt dirty even after showering
