Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Getting a vegetarian sausage for the vegetarian breakfast rather than just having the meat taken out of a regular breakfast 🤣
Amazing location, lovely room. I thought I’d booked an en-suite so I was wary of sharing a toilet but it was fine! Nice hot shower and there were toiletries too which was a nice touch. And lovely cooked breakfast in the morning too!

Not a big thing but we went mid week and not many shops open. The Snowdon cafe and shop was shut which looked really nice, so no souvenirs.
Breakfast was very good and just the right amount. The facilities were very clean good size for our stay, the beds were good but a little too hard to what im used to. Staff are outstanding. Very welcoming and helps us out alot. If you time it right you can park outside in the main high street (which we did for our total stay) Location is spot on for Snowdon walk/train station and a walk around the lake. A 10-15min for Snowdonwalk/station and 5min for lake walk. If you would like nice food for lunch or dinner go to The Heights, cooked well and big portions but book table or get there early as not that big.

Attached toilet/bathroom would be advised for double bedrooms. But all in all well happy with my stay.
Property is located centre of the Llanberies and plenty of food and bars nearby. Those are travelling for Snowdon summit perfect location to stay. House owner was amazing, friendly supportive and breakfast was first class. Thank you 🙏

The light in the room was very bright white but might have some people who don't want a darker bulb, Only a coffee sachet offered near the kettle would have liked to have a tea bag optional In the room I was staying in the stool to the dressing table seemed a bit wobbly so I didn't use it
I liked that there was a kettle and TV available in the room, there were plug sockets in the room so I could charge the phone if needed, The staff were friendly and breakfast was good and served at a reasonable time.

The owners were incredibly kind and bent over backwards to be helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and our stay was delightful. Our room had a great view of the back of the village, the valley, and the mountains.

This wasn't my first stay at Idan house and it won't be my last. It never disappoints. The rooms are always warm and comfortable and the staff are friendly. The location is fantastic!

Great breakfast, room was brilliant, very friendly staff. Brilliant value. Easy to check in since you are just given a code to the lock box. Appreciate that they let us have breakfast a bit early too which really helped us.

Cant think of anything.
We were welcomed and shown our room and breakfast room, the room was cosy and there was a view of the lake and mountainside. Location was central, and there was a bus service connecting the area. The breakfast was very good.

Bathroom door very close to toilet. The water tank filling is noisy next to room 6.
Very good breakfast. Friendly welcome. On street parking nearby. Great location to access llanberis. Excellent price for what we got
