TV in our first room was broken, missed some dinner reservations waiting for someone to fix it, turns out it was an IT issue and couldn't be fixed so we were moved rooms. It was a pretty smooth transfer but our second room had a missing rainfall shower head that we didn't notice til we got back 5o the room later in the night, at which point we were both too tired to really care.

Hotel was beautiful, staff friendly and helpful. Came early to use car park and do some shopping and got checked in well before we were supposed to. Staff member who checked us in was great, very welcoming g.

The bed , for a king bed I would exspect a king bed not two singles pushed together as the beds separated easily

Me and my partner stayed two nights the first breakfast came with no toast, cold food and the bacon was like a rock. Second morning it was perfect, no fault.

The Simply Chicken menu. Also all vegan or veg and no gluten free noted. Did not want to wander around Newcastle to find dinner. Most disappointed with the menu The shampoo and soap did not come out when pumped - in shower or soap at basin. Not good when soaking wet and pumping away for soap!!

Good location just on the periphery of the busy areas. Parking is on site and reasonable, hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable seating area in the bar. We got a room with a view of the town which was on a corner so we had a decent view.

Refitting hallway carpet, climbing over rolls of carpet to get to lift. Booked evening meal with deal on booking. Com . Had to explain this at reception as they thought it was bed and breakfast.

Clearly been refurbished. Very clean and tidy. Meal was very good. Staff were excellent. Value was excellent £99 bb and evening meal.

There's nothing I would change about our stay!

Lovely friendly staff (especially Stavros who checked us in), straightforward check-in procedure, choice of room location, clean and welcoming room, good central location but quiet.

Unfortunately on the second day when I needed to rest the cleaners were extremely noisy banging doors or the vacuum cleaner around. This was around 1.30pm to 3pm. We did not hear the the cleaners at all on the others days, they were quiet and friendly.

The room was spacious and the location perfect as it was about a 5 minute walk from the central train station. It was so lovely to be in a darkened and quiet room as we had been travelling for a few days. Also love the funky colours in the hall way and room. I also loved the duvet, very light but kept us warm. Wish I could get them in Australia.

Trying to keep the corridors clear , difficult when fitting carpets . We should have been offered a nightly reduction .

Unfortunately in progress of being rejuvenated and they were in the middle of fitting carpets on our floor which was not good . Strong smell of carpet adhesive have me a headache and the corridors were generally untidy . However the room was very nicely fitted as comfortsble.
