How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The flat is near the city centre, it´s a 10 minute walk. It was very clean an spacious. Would really recommend to stay there. I also wrote some messages with Sandi, the host and she was really nice. All in all it was a very good stay.

Really very minor things to be honest - would benefit from a clothes drier, slightly bigger table in the living room but like I say, minor things.
Lovely quiet area just 5-10mins away from the town centre incl the train station. Lots of space, had everything you needed and was very clean.

Great quiet street only a 5 minute walk away from the main centre of Inverness and about 10 from bus and train station. Easy to drive to with local shops close by and oarking oermit to park outside the property. A hidden gem. Flat was beautifully decorated, clean and with all amenities. There was a local pub just minutes away.

The Flat is very spacious with outdated Furniture, made you more feel you would stay with your Grandma and watched over the House when she was gone... The Kitchen has not really Equipment to Cook or even Bake, that needs definitely to improve. . There is a big Booklet that you have to read with all the Do and Don'ts. The most should be Common sense and let you feel very uncomfortable. One of the Rule to switch everything off, so a Guest above us switched everything off including the Wifi router that we had to give a call. The TV Remote is not meant for the TV, so wasn't working.
The Flat was very clean, good comfy Bed and the Heating system worked perfectly. Our stay was okay.

Soap dish in shower cubicle. Instructions for tv did not apply to existing tv. Traffic warden checking car permits on departure day when guests might be less particular about displaying the permit because they are about to leave soon.
Comfortable recline seats. Efficient and roomy shower cubicle.

The apartment was tastfully decorated and very clean and tidy. Owners obviously take pride in their property. The apartment is conveniently located a short walk from the main town area but far enough away to be peacefully quiet.

I couldn’t get pillow comfort no matter which way I tried them. Would bring my own if staying again.

Nothing it was all good and really contributed to us thoroughly enjoying our time in Inverness
We LOVED this property everything was easy from check in to check out. Easy free parking, great location, furnishings/ linen etc very comfortable. Kay our host was responsive to any questions even leaving some pegs so I could hang my washing. Milk in the fridge and some yummy biscuits available on arrival which was so appreciated after a long and stressful drive. Everything perfectly explained in their welcome book .

Nice upstairs apartment was perfect for a 2 night visit to Inverness. It has permitted parking, and there is a very nice neighborhood pub across the street. It is walking distance to town center. It has an overall homey feel.
