The room we stayed has water pipe nearby and could hear water running when upstairs room used bathroom. Also beneath was probably a bar. For those sensitive to noise may notify those noises.

Location convenient to town centre. Beautiful backyard, must see in summer.

Only down side was we booked for a meal on the Sunday (Easter Sunday) and when we got there there was very little left on the menu. Luckily what we did choose was delicious so that made up for it.

All the food was delicious and we were very impressed. The room was large and comfortable. I loved the decor in the restaurant.

Staircase stank of fish on visit, every day, every time we used it, room 2, toilet push tough, bit mouldy in shower cubicle, not much clothes storage for the big room, chair used in preference to storing clothes on floor after wardrobe was full (4 day trip)

Large room, comfy bed, good shower, good parking, bar and restaurant food drink ok, and nicely presented, not a cheap pub!! service good all round

Sounds of running water when rooms above ran taps or flushed toilets was my only concern, maybe a bit more insulation in the roof space above bed where I assume plumbing is? would quieten this down a lot.

Breakfast was fantastic value for money. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and made us all feel very welcome and gave the children chocolate easter bunnies which was a lovely surprise. The restaurant meals were lovely and ample in portions size and very well priced. It has been a few years since we last stayed here and was a pleasure to stay here again, can’t remember why we stopped staying here when we visit Harrogate which is quite frequent Would stay again in a heart beat thank you all for great service.

Unfortunately our room was very cold. It’s an old building and you can feel the cold from the windows, particularly the bathroom. The duvet was also very thin, with no extra blankets that we could see. The skirtings really let the room down. They were painted in a dark colour, but the paint had come off in lots of areas, making the nice room look shabby.

Great Staff and lovely food in the restaurant. Loved the decor downstairs.

Our room was OK but dark and net curtains behind the double glazing were black with the damp,wc seat was stained but cleaned as best they could ,having said that we enjoyed our stay.

Would of bin nice to be told limited headroom in room. Both of us are tall and had to keep ducking. No checkout feedback asked. Just said leave keys.dressing table mirror on floor as could put on table due to headroom.had to kneel on floor to do make up and hair. Bit rough if you are less asked.

Food was nice. Staff serving where pleasant. .bed comfy.

Travelled 5.5 hours from Dundee to collect a car from Leeds, our trade-in broke down, and then we travelled to The Pine Marten to check in for an overnight stay. We booked a family room, 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel was clean, the interior was beautiful, and the food smelt great, a bit on the pricey side. We all sat at the bar and ordered cocktails (adults) from Kalumm. My husband ordered a 007 vespa, and I ordered an expresso martini. Kalumm made the best vespa that my husband has ever tasted, and my expresso martini was amazing. We would book this hotel again and order cocktails from Kalumm.

The walls are thin and the room next door did wake me up coming in and snoring.

The building is a stunning, I am surprised that it doesn’t have a blue plaque as the person who lived there built the biggest telescope. The decor is modern but they utilise the 1800 building. The staff are lovely the breakfast was delicious and great location. Beds are comfy rooms are warm.

Location near RHS Harlow Carr. Onsite parking. Large comfortable room. Excellent shower, with grabrail. Helpful efficient staff - extra towels brought as soon as requested. Good value for money. Option to pay as you go breakfast. Fantastic food options both in restaurant for evening meal and for breakfast.

Excellent staff- especially the wonderful lady who managed breakfast. She made sure we were catered for (gluten free) but also ensured we could have breakfast ready before an early start. Great food at dinners - again catering well for gluten allergy. Excellent customer service.
