Rooms are often some distance from the lobby, so you will need to maneuver through staircases and fire doors. Accessibility could be an issue, so plan ahead if you need an accessible room. Rooms my have shower only, some have tub/shower combo, so ask for your preference. On site breakfast was good, however overpriced and understaffed. Staffing seemed to be an issue throughout for a 4 star property.

As expected this is a large hotel, so well equipped with common areas, bar, onsite restaurant and even a pool. Walking distance from the ferry terminal at Craignure on Mull. Connected to the main village of Craignure by a wooded waterside trail.

Bar closed at 1030 one night that I would have expected to stay open until 11pm. Two of the facilities in the sauna were not operation, one being the jacuzzi the other the steam room - a bit disappointing. There were also complaints about the temperature of the pool that was very cold.

Nice hotel very close to both ferry terminals. Great spa with pool and outdoor hot tub. Great powerful shower over bath. Friendly staff, especially in Sauna.

Some details of finish indicated mediocre maintenance - eg tatty paint lines around gents urinal ( if you use dark colours against white, everything needs to crisp) also remnant paint on room window (which was not double glazed Restaurant service was not as efficient and crisp as it could be

Nice location & spacious building Comfortable room with good quality bed, fixtures & fittings Friendly welcoming staff

At breakfast I ordered porridge, was informed that there was no banana for porridge and I said okay, that's not a problem. Then my husband and my cooked breakfast arrived without the potato scone and no toast. Had to ask for toast and ketchup. My porridge never arrived. Our last evening sitting relaxing having a meal and there was a group of about 6 men having a drink, the more they drank the louder they got and language was floral!! Staff did not ask them to quieten down, we ended up going to our room for peace and quiet.

Bed was so comfortable, shower was really good, nice and hot. Staff were very friendly and helpful and made my wee border terrier dog, Torrance feel at home. I had a spa treatment whilst my husband climbed a munro, and have to say it was amazing. Lovely 20min walk from hotel to Craignure, Craignure Inn is dog friendly and food was very good.

spa facilities were limited for the amount of rooms, steam room out of order and options were limited, only one hot tub available, also would be lovely if spa/ pool was open later as we were out during the day, room was a long walk from reception and had to climb 3 sets of stairs to get there

lovely room, great service all staff were lovely, food was delicious had breakfast and dinner both days, amazing views, brought blanket for dog and there were baskets available for him in bar areas, lots of different areas to explore around hotel wish id had more time ie beach and woodland walk

The price is unnecessary in my opinion - I don't think what they charge is justified. Thankfully, I got an offer - last minute and in low season, and so I booked it to give it a go while it was cheaper. I would not pay full price for this hotel, the standard just isn't there for the price they are charging, given the types of places you can stay in, within a similar price range. I would stay again, but only at a very reduced rate I was fairly excited about going for a nice relaxing swim in a peaceful spa pool - this was not the case. The pool felt like a council pool, it'll do, but it wasn't anything "spa" like. The local children were having swimming lessons and so took up most of the pool - this is a great arrangement for the islands children, but why would you advertise as a spa to paying customers, charging as much as you do - when the pool is in that state? Wasn't relaxing and I didn't enjoy parents picking their children up and standing by the pool, while I'm trying to swim and relax. Wouldn't use these facilities if I was to book again.

Location was beautiful - the view from the restaurant and bar area is just lovely. Stunning location. There is a path which you can take which leads down to the water, very peaceful. The food was delicious. We were fully catered for at breakfast, lovely choice of cold and hot food, very nice. In the evening, although the restaurant was very expensive (in my opinion) , it was really lovely food and we enjoyed it. All very fresh and delicious. The room had lovely touches, the Highland soaps, tea and coffee set up with different choices of herbal teas also, along with a variety of snacks. A nice touch We loved the retro radio also! Bed comfy, shower took a little while to heat up, but it does get there! Overall, a lovely stay, relaxed atmosphere

Rather expensive as breakfast wasn’t included and although I could use the pool it was another £25 to use the other spa facilities.

Great location. Lovely clean room. Comfortable bed. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were top quality. Lovely friendly staff. A very sweet and helpful receptionist.

I found it uncomfortably hot in the restaurant and common areas. Breakfast was not to the same standard as dinner, if you ate later, the continental was not replenished and had been standing out the whole time. Any ‘extras’ were very expensive-£25 just to use the spa and food and drink for two days cost us nearly £500!

Clean with lovely, thoughtful touches in the rooms. Dinner was delicious and excellent quality. The staff were fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble, lovely people, everyone we met was delightful.

Food offerings were very limited. The bar menu advertised was not available (basically just fish and chips, tomato pasta or burger, no pizzas). The bistro menu looked nice but very pricey. The restaurant was empty with everyone opting to eat in the bar. Breakfast was disappointing. Small portions on the menu and limited cold spread.

Rooms were nice. Good decor and facilities. Comfy bed and linens. In room snacks a nice touch (milk for tea would have been icing on the cake).

The entire place was very cold, from bar/restaurant to the rooms/hallways and the pool/spa facility. I enjoy the cold however there were people dressed for a mountain hike for dinner with jackets and bonnets on, presumably not very comfortable. This was only the flaw however quite a big one. The staff claimed the heating was on full whack however because of the single pained windows installed throughout the hotel meant no heat retained.

Beautiful room with sea view, very comfortable bed and a good en suite. Nice selection of complementary goodies in the room and upon entry the radio was on which was a very nice touch. The hotel itself was stunning with good pool and spa facility and great location. The bar and restaurant area were stunning with a great vista over the sea. The staff were all super friendly.
