The guest house is welcoming and warm, very well kept, tidy and well positioned. The room we had was extremely clean and cozy. The owner is very nice and helpful advising restaurants, place to visits and nice routes to drive. Absolutely recommended

The room and ensuite were kept spotless; towels and toiletries were changed when needed. Garreth was a perfect host; friendly and helpful with recommendations for hiking routes. He was respectful of privacy as well. The room was very quiet, with no noises from traffic etc... The guest house is an ideal location for exploring the Lakes, given its proximity to the bus and train station nearby.

Great living experience! The room is clean, the facilities are well maintained, and the daily breakfast is rich and delicious Impressive, different teapot sets every morning They are the works of artisans, meticulous and lovely. And the trip to the Lake District trust me it was a great experience even on a cloudy day. Let's go for a forest hike It's an experience of a lifetime Will live here again next time!

We loved everything about our stay at Ivy Bank. Garreth is one of the best hosts we've ever encountered. He went far above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. The room was extremely comfortable and the cooked breakfast was prepared exactly to our tastes. Garreth offered great recommendations and helped 2 older ladies with their heavy bags. We would recommend Ivy Bank without reservation and would be happy to stay again. We did not want to leave!

Friendly and helpful owner welcomed us and was checking if we were ok all stay long. Typical breakfast in served in nice atmosphere. Very good location, not on a main road as the hotels are. Quiet neighborhood, short walking distance from center, bus stops and train station. Typical house, tasteful and functional room.

Size of the room - a little too cramped, but it was not a big problem.

Great location - close to the railway and bus station - 7 minute walk, and to the town centre - 3 minutes. Very nice and peaceful neighbourhood. Very helpful and friendly host.

Me, my sister and father stayed here for 4 days and booked last minute, the whole stay exceeded our expectations and the owners were amazing, they are very helpful and a so friendly! We are 1000% returning and would recommend to anyone!
