Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe double bed was too small for us really - I'd asked in the booking info to have the twin room made up as a king size but that wasn't done for us. I should have chased it up. There were no cleaning products (so we went and bought paper towels and anti bacterial spray). We also ran out of loo roll and dishwasher tablets (they left us 2 for a 6-night stay) which seems very Scrooge-like. If we had known what would/wouldn't be included we could have brought things from home. I have no objection to buying food but I normally find cleaning products in self-catering apartments because it's better in the long run for the apartment managers to have people who clean up as they go. Left a bit of a sour taste which is a shame. There were also a few gaps in the kitchen equipment (oven gloves, baking trays, scissors) which I reported to reception. And the bathroom radiator leaked (which we contained within a small tray) and they said they would send someone to fix it. They did advise that the flat had been newly renovated so I'm assuming that these are just snagging issues.
Great location, good size of property for 2A 1C. There was a good television, a big kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer, and a clean and fresh bathroom. The flat was freshly renovated and wasn't noisy (just what you'd expect in a city). We had a keypad entry system to the block and the flat, and we were just over the road from the office in the event of any issues.

United KingdomOnly issue was the inside door key code broke. It meant we were unable to lock from the inside. The main door still worked. Rang to organise fixing but was not fixed during our stay.

SwedenThe flat is placed above a pub which had parties until 11 pm one night. This was a little disturbing. But with the help of ear pluggs this was solved.
The appartment was nice and suitable for us. We were 4 people who did a lot of touristic program during the days. At the same time whe wanted to do our own meal to breakfast and dinner. We had troubble with both washing machine and dishmachine. But the service came quick and the problems were solved quick. Extra bonus for this!!

United KingdomWhilst there was a kettle, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, 2- ring induction hob & small dishwasher, it was challenging to prepare a meal due to the lack of counter space. There were a few essentials missing like a chopping board and fish slice. The sink had no plug or washing up bowl so couldn’t fill up with water. Only minimal plates/cup provided so not economical to run the dishwasher. One tea towel provided but no cloth/paper towels to clean up after ourselves.
Great location on a nice quiet street with only a 10 minute walk into Hammersmith for easy access into central London via the bus/tube. The beds had nice linen, were firm but comfy. Decor ok. Good smart TV and stylish couch. We paid a little extra for a small private garden -well worth it - for the increased light and space it afforded us in this compact basement flat.

United States of AmericaTaking a bath/shower was an adventure with mostly either very hot or very cold water. The shower head could not be tightened to the pole so taking a shower was not easy. The water pressure was also not good. The staff at reception were pleasant and they let us into the room before the official check-in time but they did not go over basic information or mention that information like trash collection, etc. could be found in a folder in the apartment.
Good, quiet-for-London location. Generally comfortable. Appreciated the light in the closet. Price was good for London. Walking distance to a Tesco Superstore. We enjoyed staying in Hammersmith.

LithuaniaCouldn’t lock the door from inside which made me feel unsafe.. there were no toiletries at all, not even soap - even though it says toiletries included on Booking. I came only with hand luggage so not having soap or shower gel was a problem. Lumpy pillows. Reception was about 10 minutes walk from the building I stayed at, called Lena apartments. I had no information about this beforehand and it was annoying having to walk in the rain after check in and then again once I checked out.
Good location for my work location and close to Hammersmith station, not too noisy. Has a nice little kitchen, incl tea and coffee
