Window in room seemed like it was letting cold air from outside into room so at times could feel a slight draft.

Location, price and attentive friendly staff on hand when ever I needed help or assistance etc. Room was clean, tidy and reasonably efficient for my intended stay. Nothing was negative during my stay.

The bar was virtually dry. No Tetley, no Guinness, no cider. It was lager or .... lager. No worries though, numerous places to visit for drinks and food in Llandudno

Everything was fine. Nothing glitzy, just honest accommodation

Britannia need to throw a load of money at this place unfortunately. We moved Rooms a number of times. On arrival we had one on the first floor looking towards the cable cars. It was not a nice room! The balcony door wouldn’t shut. We paid £20 to upgrade but the next room on the 4th floor was an incredibly noisy premier room. Lovely views but we did visit on a windy weekend but there’s no way anyone would sleep in that room! It sounded like a swarm of really noisy bees! So we moved again and were pleased this one wasn’t so noisy. All rooms lack modernisation. They have old wood chip wallpaper which must have been repainted over dozens of times over the years. There’s signs of refurbishment ie new carpet and gloss on the floor but it lacks love and effort. Our room was missing a hairdryer which would have come in handy. As well as central heating (oil heaters provided). There were also plugs that didn’t work and no lighting other than the main light. The shower flooded within minutes of use so you couldn’t stay in long. The Grand must have been amazing in its time but needs investment.

Location - fantastic. Amazing views of the sea/bay/prom. Gorgeous grand old building. The bar area was comfortable and a nice place to sit. Public areas were clean. Staff - friendly and accommodating. They don’t deserve some of the behaviours thrown at them. A lady on reception was very empathetic and understanding when I was providing feedback on prior rooms. Entertainment - the ladies singing Abba songs were very entertaining and provided fun for all guests. We stayed in room 523 - great views from 3 windows.

Staff were unclear on whether hotel was dog friendly. (Telling me Yes, then NO then Yes again..) Also Parking is not available at the Hotel, so doesn't warrant a P icon on the booking.com because its only road parking on meters, there is No hotel car park.

Breakfast was basic but ok for the money.

Terrible room initially. It was a court yard room. Granted it was cheap so you can’t complain too much but I do think it was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Upon checking in, we were met with a long queue of disgruntled people wanting to check in, everyone was huffing and puffing, one girl was checking people in.. a couple in front actually decided to stay in another hotel. There were also people only in the queue to complain about there hotel room (I should have known at this point to ask for an upgrade) - the queue was just painful. There didn’t seem to be enough staff members overall to ensure a smooth and nice experience but they were very polite and professional so I can’t fault them there.

Good location with cheap parking nearby. Staff were helpful and very polite. We initially stayed in a standard double room which was horrendous to say the least. We upgraded the next morning to have a sea view (premier room) and this did change my view and experience on the hotel so I would say just ensure you pay for a room with a sea view.

Had to change rooms 3 times as the first one they gave us was under refurbishment as the beds and mattresses were standing up the walls so they gave us another room and all we wanted to do was have a night in watching tv but when we turned the tv on it was saying,"weak or no signal" so third time lucky they actually decided to upgrade us to a sea view room so everything was sorted after about 40 mins of stress.which the plan was to come here to get away from.

Hotel in its self is in need of much repair. A beautiful building needing lots of TLC and investment. Rooms are basic and only just serve the needs of its guests, repairs are makeshift and bodged.Rooms with balconies have patio doors which the majority are unusable, some patio doors have restriction openings screwed to them for your safety. The balconies are rusted and worn, in need of repair and a paint job. Evening meals are a let down, food is very basic poorly presented and repetitive, Usually a choice of two things for the main. If you like bland and basic then you will like the evening meals, x3 courses soup, bread starter, main a choice of x2 things with tinned or frozen veg or basic salad, pudding choice of hot or cake, gatuex.

Excellent location, good views, right by the peir. Staff were helpful and friendly. Catering staff who checked you in for your meals were welcoming and Friendly. Breakfast was good and of variety. Rooms were basic but OK.

You book a Sea View Room, but you you can't go onto the Balcony anymore, as the doors are locked. Also you can't get a view from the windows in the room as the windows are dirty. Also from the bar, you can't go on Balcony & look or have drink on there, or watch people walking up & down the Pier.

Nice to see new carpets. The Bar looked lovely, New Carpets & Furniture was lovely Staff at the bar where lovely.

Not enough staff for the entertainment bar had to Q for over 15 minutes. Building is very tired and dated and in need of a deep clean and lick of paint. Can't stand out on the balcony which is a shame. Our room had curtains hanging off the wall with curtain hooks missing. No bathroom toiletries only combined body and hair wash. For the price I would expect at the very least shampoo and conditioner. Also had to use towel to stand on when got out of shower as no bath mats. Windows are filthy I know the sea spray will throw salt and sand on them but they need cleaning inside and out - paid for sea views but dirty windows meant couldn't get the full effect. If tidied up all the little incidentals this hotel would be amazing but for the price we paid we were left a little disappointed.

Breakfast was excellent. Receptionist when we arrived was lovely and very knowledgeable.
