Water pressure of showers were terrible in the shared bathrooms and the shower in my room. And only had hot water which was boiling and I was barely able to shower.

    Location was great

Room was very dirty. Bathroom walls, shower curtain and other surfaces were covered with mold. Springs of the bed were really painful and bed frames were squeaky. Room was infested by ants.

Very central location. Price was competitive.

In the Annex rooms the beds are essentially hostel rooms. There is no kettle. The bathroom was bleak. Once we moved, the main hotel room had a kettle. Beds were only moderately better and bathroom was basic

The staff allowed a £15 upgrade as the Annex part of the Hotel is only one step up from a hostel

We paid extra for a private bathroom, but it was absolutely pointless. The shower did not work, and my son tried to use the shared shower, which also did not work. The bathroom was so small it was incredibly difficult to manoeuvre in, and the door did not shut properly. Given one bed was right next to the bathroom door, and there was no room to move in the bathroom without risking the door flying open, we decided against using the bathroom. I really would advise against the extra expense of a private bathroom as it is barely usable, and definitely do not have any expectations of being able to wash!

It was quiet, so I was able to sleep reasonably well without being disturbed by other guests or anyone outside, which was appreciated. The staff were pleasant.

Bed was very old mattress, saggy. Whole place very worn and in need of decoration.

Staff friendly and accommodating, let me leave my bags during the day after I checked out which saved my lugging them around town. Cheap for the location. Room clean and tidy.

Our room was situated in the basement, which was suitable for our purpose as we primarily needed a place to sleep after attending the New Year's party. However, it's worth noting that the property itself is quite old. Nothing fancy. It didn’t have a lift. It wasn’t as clean as it could have been.

The hotel offers a basic experience with minimal amenities in an aging property. However, its prime location stands out as a major advantage. Ideal for those seeking a no-frills stay close to key attractions like Piccadilly circus, Leicester square. The staff was lovely, very kind.

When we arrived it took 10 minutes for someone at the front desk to arrive to check us in. We were opening various doors saying “hello?” hoping we could find anyone. If you’re going to have an associate away from the desk for stretches of time, you should at least have a way to easily page them so they know. guest is at the desk. The room is a sad yellow and you could feel every spring in the mattress. It was nice that there was a sink in the room but the dripping sound it made after the faucet turned off was so untenable that and went on for so long that we never used it again. If you want something cheap, are going to be mostly out and about, and don’t mind a springy mattress, this will do, but you really do get what you pay for.

The location was good and it was very cheap.

Everything was grubby. The mattress had these plastic buttons that kept digging in to me, making for a very uncomfortable night. The floor was wonky, only a few degrees, but enough to be disorienting. No beside light or table

No mirror in the room. No table lamp neither. No socket next to the bed. It was also pretty cold, the heating wasn’t working. Shower in the shared bathroom was leaking in a few places.

Location is superb, everything you might need is around the corner. The bed was very comfortable.

I read all the negative reviews and was expecting something horrible. Actually, if you’ve ever been student in Paris/London or if you’ve been hiking in the mountains, the hotel is fine. It’s pretty much like a student accommodation or a guest house.

Perhaps a new coat of paint.

The Hotel was suitable for my needs, the bed linen was very clean, the rest of the hotel needs some love and attention. However, if you are looking for place to stay in a central location in London, it is very good value for money. If you want more, then you should pay more in another hotel. It is was it is for the price you pay. The staff was very helpful, we had a problem with one of our beds and they immediately changed our room without any fuss.
