Beds were too small, as a tall person I didn’t fit in the bed properly. The hearing would not turn off so it was very hot and I had to use the fan and have the windows open in winter.

Great staff and lovely setting. Easy to get to.

The rooms were too warm. Small and no hairdryers in the room. So hubby had to go downstairs to get one. Uncomfortable nights sleep due to heat even with windows open

The receptionist was excellent, she ensured we could check in earlier so we could get ready for a wedding. Really lovely lady and welcoming and helpful 😊

Sadly the breakfast was a bit of a let down. Last time was much better and I'm sure they'll have it sorted for my next stay.

Nice room, lovely shower room. Good lighting and room had tea and coffee making facilities. I ate dinner. It took a while to arrive but was very nice.

Venue is quite rural with poor outdoor lighting at night. Hard to find the entrance in the dark. Rooms are well designed but small. No hair dryers or irons in the rooms. You have to call down for them and there are no phones!

Modern rooms with nice bathrooms and a great shower! Friendly staff.

Both times I stayed there were functions underway. Obviously a good revenue earner, one a wedding party and one an office Christmas party. Not too intrusive.

The whole feel of the building, the lovely park and the charming staff.

Lack of signage that points to the hotel when pulling up in the car park. Even the reception staff joked that guests have trouble finding the hotel. It needs clear signage on the wall adjacent/behind the cafe.

the beds were quite uncomfortable, with only a pillow each. The rooms were also pretty small but fine for what we needed, which was somewhere to stay after a wedding nearby .

The outdoors area was nice, it was easy to access from Swindon. the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. Decent English breakfast.

I didnt like the fact it wad not well lit from car park to door or that the door to the room Had to be slammed to shut so you were woken or woke people up on exit is that a design fault? Menu was small but food i had was good value.

I liked the fact it was quiet and in the countryside and potentially good price for what i had.

The room was very small, but it was a twin as requested. The upper floor rooms are stifling hot, couldn’t get the window open wider. The bathroom shower was very powerful, however if you turned it on too much the water runs right out of the shower stall and all over the bathroom floor to the bedroom door. We had to put towels down at the edge of the shower pan to stop the water flowing out of it. Needs some drain pan adjustment to make the water flow toward the drain or a barrier by the end of the glass panel. Beds were way to hard, was like lying on a slab of concrete. Housekeeping need to make sure the bed wheel and locks are facing inward, as my toes hit one on the way to the bathroom and cut it open, lucky it isn’t broken!

The grounds were lovely, lots of walks. Parking is paid u less you stay at property and you get the day parking pass. Room, it was very clean and newly refurbished. There was a portable fan to use on the dresser. Nice biscuits, tea and coffee included in room. Ensuite was modern and refurbished with a walk-in style shower and rain head shower and wand attachment plus shower gels, soaps etc. towels were new and fluffy. Bed linens were lovely and new too. The hanging rack at the end of the bed was a good idea rather than a closet.

Didn’t get off to a good start as stay was advertised wrong and they didn’t know, went up for a shower and shower sprayed out the top of the head got someone to come up didn’t want him to get wet so I showed him and got soaked was given a second room same happened and got soaked for a second time even tho first I found a bit funny and could have a laugh but having two rooms with broken showers and no facilities to dry my clothes I found to be a bit of a joke as me and my partner agreed if third room also did so we would of left with a full reimbursed payment but employees like I said apologised and really helped us out thank god we found one that worked

Staff were incredible met our needs and apologised and gave us a deal because of the things that were wrong Food was amazing and good prices me and my partner loved the walks and scenery
