Yvonne was very helpful. The room had several pleasant little extras - hot water bottle, tissues, a carafe of drinking water. The window overlooked the river. The accommodation was within easy walking distance of the town centre without being in amongst it.

Yvonne is a very welcoming host. The room is very large with some antique furniture. The shower has a strong flow.

Room had river view, location was great, walking distance to shops, restaurants, pubs, tours pick up point and Kendal Castle. Yvonne was such a sweetheart. She made the whole experience even better making sure everything was perfect. She cooks the best homemade cookies and serves coffee to her guests in their rooms at their preferred time in the morning! She’s s star!

Bathroom was a bit cramped but it was clean and functional. The shower worked well despite the room being at the top of the stairs.

A great welcome from the owner, really helpful information preceded the stay and very accommodating overall. Genuinely lovely people. Helped me in with my luggage too 👌 fabulous location overlooking the river.

Shower door needs sorting, I couldn’t shut it from inside. Parking only just worked.

Can't complaint... Although the building is old , so understandably the Windows etc are old and therefore draughty, but was sorted straight away. It is hard for England to get this cold , so not moaning, i have broken heating in my flat much southern from here and it takes ages to be even looked at it. It is very quirky place and you get sorted our if needed.

The "wicked" landlady is a very nice person happy to help you in any way with a hint of joke. Also knowledgeable aro7nd the surrounding.

Room and bed very comfortable. Yvonne was a very attentive and friendly host. Room was on 2nd floor but was a little chilly but Yvonne bled the radiator for us in an attempt to warm us up. However it is mid January so can't really complain. 15 minute walk into town. Nearest pub 5 mins to Ring o Bells. Will definitely stay here again.

Delightful hostess, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were wonderfully warm and cosy in our room for a cold wet December. The home made shortbread was delicious. The location was perfect for exploring Kendal and visiting the Brewery Arts Centre. Would definitely return.

A last minute booking for the New Year at this lovely accommodation in Kendal It was a fabulous experience which our hostess with the mostest Yvonne literally couldn't do enough for us to make our stay the most lovely experience 5 STARS Location, free car parking spot, cleanliness, room warm & cosy with everything you need & comfy bed & with ensuite in room 2 Most of all our host Yvonne a fun & engaging & a great person really , with the best homemade shortbread each morning with a freshly brewed pint of tea as you wake up

Due to the position of the shower room (corner of the building, outside walls) it was rather chilly in there.

Yvonne was extremely kind, friendly and keen to help. She supplied an additional small heater as the weather during my stay was bitterly cold and the room, although small, took a long time to warm up (I suspect some heat was lost via the large single glazed window). The useful information about Kendal that Yvonne supplied was very thoughtful. Unfortunately the activity that brought me to the area for the weekend was disrupted by snow so I ended up spending far more time in my room than I’d anticipated.

Yvonne was a friendly host who made sure we had everything we needed and the property was in a quite location next to the river. Great base for exploring the lakes, would definitely stay again.
