Good value and good location for the purposes of my trip

The water was cold for 2 days, an alarm went off in the middle of the night in the room, not sure what it was, but we went back to sleep fine

Great location, clean room, booking in was simple, able to get extra pillows, small but everything we needed for our short break. We have stayed before and will stay again

Only issue was the tv had no signal and therefore did not work. Didn’t affect our stay and we weren’t overly fussed but would’ve been a bonus, staff seemed on top of the issue once brought to their attention though :)

The restaurant menu wasn’t great but it was ok because we didn’t spend much time in the hotel as we were out touring.

there was no breakfest altough we tought it was with breakfest, also the place next to the hotel is connected with the hotel and it is a terribel place

the location is across the street from a starbucks and the overground, also there are plenty of busses and even the underground. with 10 minuts you can be in the city

I would have liked the room to have more space for luggages. We had 2 big luggages which was impossible to open at the same time, unless you put the luggages on the bed.

Location: it's 3 stops from Paddington station. The location itself is not so busy compared to other central stations. Location is served by the Bakerloo line which pretty much gets you to the main stations like Picadilly and Oxford. Bus stops are just right in front of the hotel and across the street depending on which direction you're heading, like bus 98 to and from Oxford Circus. Bed was comfortable, and the shower size is bigger compared to other average london hotels. There is a cafe/restaurant just beside the hotel. Tesco and Starbucks are just right across the street.

In our room some of the lights were not working, And the drawer cabinet where the hair dryer is was wobbly, just a small thing :)

Waited at reception for 10 minutes to check in. Had to ring the hotel and then someone came to the desk. The shower was cold even after running for 5 minutes

The pillows were lumpy and as hard as the mattress. The corridors smelled like eggs and the room smelled like someone had smoked in there previously. All rooms are in the basement, so no windows. The room was boiling and the A/C was turned off for winter. The extractor fan in the bathroom was SO loud! The shower floor was slippy and there was no shower-matt provided. The kettle didn't work, so we couldn't use the tea and coffee making facilities. Personally, I didn't like the full wall of mirrors, although that's down to my preference, and I understand they were in there to maximise the light. The TV was round the corner from the bed, with no other seating area this seemed strange. Picky, but I would have liked an iron/ironing board in the room.

It was clean and check in was fast. Very close to a tube station and the Tesco Metro on the opposite side of the road was well stocked and opened early till late. The hotel seemed clean and fairly freshly decorated throughout, without so much as a chip in any paint from what I saw. The mattress was nice and firm, this may be a negative for some, but we loved it. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, more on that later. Lots of plug sockets. The restaurant upstairs looked good, but we didn't try it. Lots of cost hangars in the cupboard.

The floor of the bathroom shower wasn't very clean. However the staff left everything clean in the bathroom every time they did room service. We couldn't open the window because there was a second window completely sealed on the wall and the room was a bit warm at night. We also couldn't regulate the thermostat inside the bedroom, it didn't work. The walls are too thin, we could hear the people in the other bedrooms talking.

The location was good. Two underground stations nearby plus several bus stops around. Our bedroom was overlooking the main avenue but it wasn't noisy.

First room we got had a terrible noise coming from,what I think, an outside HVAC unit that turned on and off (pretty loud) every few minutes. So no sleep at all that first night. We complained about this and because we also had a leak in the bathroom that caused the carpet in the room to be wet...we got to switch rooms. Also things like no hairdryer and no fuse boxes near the bed as booked where present. Second night was even worse when the fire alarm went off at 0h40 for about 2 minutes and then stopped. I had read this in other reviews so we stayed in the room....so did all the other guests. No one from the hotel came to the rooms to explain. From the reviews it seems that management is blaming smokers or vapers but they should warn guests before check in about this and what the effect will be for the entire hotel! So again not much sleep this night. The HVAC in this room was not working at all so the smell in the room was not very pleasant. As most rooms have no windows and no fresh air can come in...this seems a huge problem. We did get some sleep the 3rd night but a lot of shuffeling chairs and stuff from the restaurant late and also again early. Cleaning was not very well done, stains on the bedsheets, stains on the mirrors, shower full of water stains. All and all not worth the price even if it is one of the cheaper ones in the area...will not come back or recommend to anyone.

Location is very good...far enougy from any busy places but close enough to underground and bus to reach the top places. Staff was friendly enough. Coffee and tea in the room. Bed and pillow where fine.
