We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomGot a call soon after booking to confirm stay, was told 9.30 latest check in time even tho the site said 10.30 brought it up with host and he was fine with us coming later, was very friendly on arrival, the room was comfortable, we had a problem with our TV signal, we told him he came and looked but said it was the weather messing it up, also the towels provided were only hand towels (good job I'm small) but they did the job.

United KingdomThere wasn't a desk so you cannot do work or use your laptop. The lighting is poor. You'll strain your eyes to read. Also there wasn't any soundproof walls. You could hear people two streets away. There was constant noise from the evening arrived till all night long I presume. Therefore I was unable to read a book. Luckily I'm a deep sleeper. As soon as I woke up at 5am, there was more noise.
I found it available at short notice. Also the staff was friendly. The place was clean and tidy. The internet connection is strong.

United KingdomCommunal kitchen area smelled of cigarettes and the bin was over flowing needed emptying. But that is my only criticism of the place.
Very friendly and accommodating management. The hotel is clean and feels safe. Good family hotel, the rooms are a little dated and basic but they are clean and comfortable. Definitely great value for this location compared to far inferior places that charge a lot more.

United KingdomThe hotel needs total renovation, the shower room lights not working, toilet flush very hard to use, my kids couldn't flush on their own, in fact the toilet need to be changed. The bedside table needs to be disposed of. The kettle is broken as well. I regret staying in the hotel with my kids 😪 😕 😒 😩 Apart from the great location near the beach, nothing good to write about.

United Kingdomwe had the attic room but we are young and fit so it was fine for us but for somebody less able it might be difficult land the door didn’t lock or really even shut from the inside.
first of all, the property is literally a few mins walk from away from the stop before Southend (I forgot what it’s called 😬 we had a lovely welcome and was taken to our room and given a fan which was awesome because it was hot. very comfortable bed, we had a lovely sleep. everything’s was clean and it was very relaxed. we loved it. yea and coffee provided

United KingdomThe rooms are DISGUSTING Spiders all over the bed,NO HOT WATER I felt dirty beyond belief after being there. Only reason I didn't leave is because I had no where else to go. So left asap at 6am. Stains everywhere. I cant even describe how disgusting the room was. The photos dont even show its worst. There was people arguing in the room next door until 4am. People smoking out the window all night even though it was a no smoking property I couldn't sleep as the bed was to dirty. I just sat on my coat all night. The front door was left wide open all night which was scary as anyone could walk in.
I liked the location. That's as far as it goes. The location was ideal. The guy who welcomed us was also friendly and was pleasant to deal with.

United KingdomAll of it, it was cold and dirty.their were 3 rooms that was let out to some very rough couples who were arguing most of the night and slamming doors.we never slept much 1st night.the wiring to the telly was much to be desired hanging every where. That place should never be in your portfolio.how do the inspectors pass this place I did take a video of the room if you wanted me to send it to you. Sorry for the very bad feedback just putting you in the picture so you know.the whole hotel wants shutting down and a complete decorating inside and out.the pictures on the web site did it no justice.

Its £40 a night. Clean comfy beds and hot powerful showers. Great location and WiFi too. Also let me charge my electric car whilst parked (3 pin plug, they don't have a dedicated car charger)

United KingdomBed linen looked very worn, duvet and pillows were tatty. Bedroom door lock was dodgy. Didn't find it secure. There was no bath soap in the bathroom although there was handwash at the sink. In a nutshell, it is a VERY basic guest house. Absolitely no frills!! Stairs to room were steep and winding so dangerous for a child.
