That I had to leave so early so didn’t get the chance to try breakfast! My fault, not theirs.

Lovely room - spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I had to leave very early in the morning and I was delighted with the takeaway continental breakfast they made me. Will be visiting Guildford again soon and will definitely be staying at the Mandolay.

I stayed in the coach house which is away from the main hotel building. There were people staying in the room above me, I could hear them walking about. Also banging & crashing by kitchen staff at 6.30am (luckily I was awake but others may not have been).

Good location, few minutes walk from London Road station and G-Live concert venue. Staff at reception were nice and polite. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The only fault was that the bathroom had a bit of limescale around the shower cubicle it was quite small and a bit dated.

The staff were excellent from the start, reception and at the bar they could not of been more friendly and accommodating. The location was great for getting into town. Parking did cost £15 24 hrs but we did get a drink each at the bar.

Unfortunately, and this is no reflection on the property there was a marital dispute on my floor at about 2am on my last night. This might not have been a problem had the door to my room been soundproofed - alas the door was not solid core but a light weight internal door. Thankfully the noise subsided after about half an hour.

The shower in the room felt very small, so only one us used it. Also in the morning we found we could hear the door closing really loudly

Breakfast was very good lots of choice... But downside was the food was no where near hot enough we were at breakfast quite early so should have been a lot warmer. Such a shame to ruin the lovely food with it being nearly cold.

upgraded when we arrived which was nice. Although the room is quite high. Lots of stairs wouldn't advise if not very agile.

Inadequate wardrobe in room 75 !! Very frustrating ! No fridge or room safe !!! My daughters stayed in room 67 and had both for a lower rate ?

Unfortunately doors were not cushioned so other customers slamming doors when entering their rooms late at night woke us up. We found the room was quite warm but could not set up the aircon to below 19°C (centralised heating) so we left the window open instead, which meant that we were again woken up by the noise of the bin collection. We are aware that this is not the hotel's fault, though.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick check-in and check-out. Clean and very comfortable room with nice tea facilities, complimentary water, biscuits and luxury toiletries. Rich continental breakfast buffet with option of cooked breakfast. Good location, close to town center. Amenities, shops and restaurants are nearby at walking distance.

Constant pestering by text and e mail to pre check in including requests to supply my bank account details which make me uneasy and I won’t do for security safety reasons. I don’t agree with the mandatory taking of a card payment £50.00 in case I damage the room which is not a good start at a 4 star accommodation to assume your client may be irresponsible in their stay. I stated I would pay cash for any extras but that was not acceptable.

Good quality tea coffee and selection of milks inc non dairy, biscuits and popcorn was much appreciated. Comfortable bed and very clean.
