Loved the location, so close to the town centre and yet feels so detached from the hustle bustle in its own quiet nook. This was a very cosy, comfortable place to live.

Room and bathroom are a bit small

The bathroom light was on a motion sensor. We wanted to have the bathroom door open to help with the air circulation in the bedroom (bathroom had a window), but we couldn't because every time I rolled over the bathroom light came on.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was super. Really enjoyed our stay.

We have a super king-sized bed at home so not used to smaller version. Bed was extremely comfortable, Just hubby kept flinging arm out during night. Bathroom was a snug fit although it had everything you needed. Hubby being biggish found toilet room a little too snug at times. Nothing to moan about for short stays. Rest of space was great.

Loved the room and location. Decor was excellent very tasteful and restful colour scheme. Garden area was lovely and it was great to be able to sit out and relax after long walks. Fridge was a great surprise and it was nice to have normal milk instead of those silly packages. Hosts were really friendly and helpful is needed. Breakfast was superb using good quality bacon etc. Good idea to choose the night before. Parking was great as we didn't use car but handy to have near as kept shoes in there.

Our stay at the Meadfoot Guesthouse was very enjoyable. Gail and Steve are the nicest people you could ever meet. The amazing breakfast included a chat with Steve where he suggested activities for the day, and Gail was overall extremely helpful and kind. Such a nice experience!

wonderful stay. well taken care house and garden very comfy and clean. great location for restaurants shops and laundry 5 min walk to train station and tour company breakfast was delicious and generous wonderful kind welcoming and so helping owner Steve and Gail are super nice thank you Steve for your great help after leaving you make us ride the train at perfect timing we get there in London 4 hours earlier than expected at a day trains was busy and some trained cancelled people were standing in trains at that day . Love to see you again …

The hosts were really friendly and helpful ~ offering lots of local insight and knowledge, in particular about the boat/ bus combo. Lots of historical facts provided too! Wonderful breakfast catering to all types. We had booked two rooms and both were lovely. Wonderful location in Windermere and walking distance to Bowness.

You can hear if someone walking on the upper floor. But this is just a minor issue. You won't notice it when you fall asleep after a tight travel schedule.

Gail & Steve were very kind, very nice. They called before our arrival to confirm the arrival time. The room is clean, we stayed in Room number 4, which is on the ground floor, easy to offload our luggage from the car. The bathroom is spacious and clean, same as the picture on the website. The breakfast was tasty. They offered a full English breakfast which provides energy for us to travel around the lake district.

We were very happy with everything.

It is a beautiful area to visit and Meadfoot is in a perfect location to walk into Bowness on Windermere or into the village of Windermere. We were very happy with the accommodation, the breakfast is great and Steve and Gail are a lovely couple who provide a very professional service. Parking is provided and the house has spacious gardens if you feel like resting there.

The location was very close to town, private car parking available on site. It was lovely and quiet with a beautiful garden that guests were able to use. The hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area.
