We liked everything.

In a quiet location but just a quick walk away from the town centre ( Ambleside). The owner could not do enough for us and the breakfasts were superb with lots of choice). Thr views from the breakfast room over the fells was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Despite turning down the heat the room was very hot during the night. The duvet was maybe too warm for the season.

Spaceous, luxurious room with everything we needed. Ensuite with a well-functioning shower. Practical breakfast form to be filled out the night before, delicious breakfast, helpful host. A very nice stay.

Room was comfortable with all the essentials. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice of options. Meadowbank is conveniently located a shortish walk from the centre of town and very near the health centre bus stop. Mike was friendly & helpful and gave me lots of good advice on the local mountain biking routes, as well as providing a place to securely store my bike.

Took a while to fathom how to lock the door when leaving the hotel room, but that was more my own fault as I was informed how to do it!

Allowed to park up before I checked in, so I could go for a walk. Check in very smooth & room was great, more than enough for a solo guest. Breakfast was great & very filling, large selection of what to have (you pre-order the night before). Location was a short stroll back into Ambleside so ideal. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely couple, breakfast really nice good choice of food. Very pleased The outside of the hotel was tired looking and in need of a paint job and tidy up. I was abit concerned when we first pulled up to what the inside was going to be like after seeing the outside but it was far nicer inside than outside.

A charming building in a lovely setting. I was the only person staying for the two nights I was there, and the host couldn’t have done more for me - he was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, the dining room boasting beautiful views.

The breakfast was amazing. You chose what you wanted the day before. Everything was cooked to perfection and even the granola pots were home made. The yoghurt even had garden grown berries. An added bonus, seeing a deer in the garden and the view from there is lovely. The location was great. Far enough from the centre of Ambleside, but only few minutes stroll to restaurants, shops and bars. On site parking was another added bonus, as this can be be difficult in the town itself.

The single room is a little small but perfectly adequate. The shower could do with a little more pressure.

The shower room was big, just maybe needs a little sprucing up, but everything worked as it should.

The location was fabulous, and peaceful, only a few minutes walk to all the bustling shops, the view from our bedroom was amazing 🤩 restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakery’s such a beautiful place. The Breakfast WOW what a selection home made bread, delicious chocolate muffins homemade too and still warm, pastries, cereals, full English, you name it, it was on the pre ordering menu, Mike the host was so lovely and welcoming
