How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There was a subtle smell of mould in the room which didn't seem very healthy.
Convenient location for central London with tube close-by. The staff were very helpful with an early check-in. Everything was clean and the room was quiet.

Shower head needed a clean. Extra pillow would have been good. A call at 9.40 asking if we were leaving was not needed as we knew we had to leave by 10.
Clean, good price. Within walking distance of underground and great places to eat nearby.

You are able to hear the plumbing sometimes and there wasn’t a plug near the kettle so had to out it on the floor but the room was clean, water pressure was great, the bed wasn’t luxury but slept fine and the complementary coffee/tea/biscuits hit the spot for my stay. I am happy with my experience and amount paid for 1 night.
The host/owner/staff were very friendly. As a solo traveller not fussed about accommodations, just security and ability to leave my bag secured whilst visiting London. The room was just right for one person. Location was a few minutes walk from a tube station and bus stops. Neighbourhood is lovely and felt safe. I would return as a solo traveller.

Plumbing is not the greatest- you may have to flush a few times but no big deal. The walls are a little thin but everyone was quiet while we were there.
Excellent communication, comfy beds and very clean. Amazing location and great value.

A lift would be great. It was tiring to go up three floors, but I understand it is an old building.
The staff was excelent, very kind and helpful. The room was clean and the location was excellent, near Victoria Station.

Housekeeper could be more environmentally friendly by not turning on the extra heater everyday after cleaning the room.

Tea Cups are tiny and only 1 pillow. But Minor things.
Ideal location, 10 min from Victoria station & 2 min to underground.Easy walk to the embankment, parks and galleries. Great restaurant options around the area. Spotless, bright and quiet room. The team were really welcoming.

There is no elevator, which was not a problem for us, but might be for others. The only little thing I did not like was the shower gel packaging. It came in little plastic bags that were very difficult to open without scissiors. Something that should be easily improvable.
The owner, his daughter and all other staff were extremely nice and helpful. Very clean room with a nice view taking into account the place: We could see the London Eye from our Window. I like the fact that I could open the window, as in many other hotels the windows are blocked to open just a little bit. Everything according to the descriptions and photos on booking.com. Wifi was as well good and the room was quite.

Excellent value for money. Room was small, but perfect for me. It had everything I needed (tea, coffee, biscuits and own bathroom) Clean, nice and light - was happy I was only 2 flights up (as no lift) - but I know they would have carried my bags up Fantastic location as I work in Victoria...plus so easy to get everywhere with Pimlico underground station just round the corner Staff were lovely

Not as a bad thing, but as a full disclosure, again the room was quite small. Also, it didn't have a lift, but I stayed at the first floor and there were only a few stairs there. Being so close to the centre, it was a good quality/price ratio.
I was first drawn to this hotel because of the positive reviews I saw about the cleanliness. I was only going for a few days, so with something small but very well located I had plenty. For me, it was essential that it was clean. I gotta say that this hotel was great. It is run by a family, with a double security entry system. The room itself was on the small side, I couldn't open the door to the toilets fully without bumping into the bed. But to spend a few days, it was more than enough. I confirm that everything was spotless and that, when I found the pillow a bit lumpy, they changed it for me without any problem. In addition, the owner of the hotel gave me perfect advice on transportation, visits and even musicals. It is well situated to walk to the centre, but also with both bus and underground transportation nearby. Also, there are good cafes around for breakfast. If I go alone again I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Price was a little bit high but it is understandable as it was Christmas time
Staff very professional and kind. Excellent hotel close to Pimlico Tube station. Room was very good and spacious considering that usually in London rooms are very tiny and unconfortable.
