Stayed in a large double room which was lovely, the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! Spotlessly clean and lovely location. A lot we looked at didn't have parking however here we parked directly outside and you get a parking permit in your room. Would definitely recommend staying here!

It was all pretty top notch. The only thing missing was a luggage stand for the room - I had to put my bag on the ground, but that is a very small problem to have when traveling.

Recently updated - nice clean rooms with comfortable bed. Hot water in shower. There is a lockbox system to pick up the key. The email with the code was sent to my phone and I had no issues checking in (even checked in a couple of hours early).

Spacious room, firm, very comfortable bed. Just far enough out of the center of Whitby to be quiet at night but close enough to walk everywhere. Lovely town to visit - would visit again.

A wonderful guest house, spotlessly clean, warm (we were there in February) and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The hosts were very welcoming and made our stay in Whitby even more pleasant, free parking right outside too!

We could not fault the Whalebone. Super clean and comfortable. Very quiet inside and out. Highly recommend anyone to stay here. Outstanding

What a fantastic place to stay! Communication from Emma prior to our arrival gave us all the check in details we needed. Parking outside and free parking permit waiting in our room. The building is beautiful with a lovely original tiled entrance. Our room was immaculate with an amazing sea view and had everything we needed and more. Fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge and additional glasses, cutlery plates etc in a separate storage box is a brilliant idea. We had a fantastic stay and can't wait to return.

Not a dislike but a observation, room 1 it could do with the TV bracket moving a touch only because the wardrobe blocks the bottom half off the TV when laid on bed ,

The rooms got very damp because of the cold weather and the powerful heating system, making the walls wet and the windows drip. There was a small patch of mould in the corner, but I reported it and I understand the difficulties of property like this. I wouldn't mark it as a massive issue.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was within walking distance of everything one would want to see in the city, and yet it was far away enough not to be swamped. For the price, it exceeded any expectations I had of it. Anything we asked for, the staff helped with in moments; extra things for the room, helping with heavy bags, that sort of thing. The facilities were beyond what I expected and the room was cosy and homely. I would recommend it to anyone, even despite its one shortcoming.

The room was light and spacious. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of space to hang clothes, a mini fridge which they had kindly stocked with milk and water. Shower nice and hot. Plenty of complimentary coffee and tea. Quiet location but close to town. Lots of information provided in a folder which was great. Great communication with owners, easy check in and access to the room. Fabulous stay all round. Thankyou
