Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Really minor things but pillows were not very comfortable and no plugs next to the bed to charge my phone (plug the other side of the room)
So clean, nicely decorated and ideal for what we needed.

We were upgraded, the room was lovely but the stairs are crazy steep. Wouldn't recommend- check it out before you agree.
Great location so handy to the Russell St tube, and in the other direction to Kings Cross and St Pancras. Friendly helpful staff. The room was very clean, had a great view over the Square. Good selection at breakfast cooked and cereals, and was topped up when needed.

A very convenient location handy for all the London termini of the northbound routes and Eurostar. The hotel was quiet and comfortable.

The sound proof
It's a 13 minute walk from Kings Cross train station. It's located at a quiet crescent adjacent to a lovely little park and is close to restaurants, cafés and subway.

The dining area felt a little cramped at peak times. But the food etc was lovely.

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel. Stay very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and a good choice of food. Definitely recommend it here for a short stay. Great location and close to underground and station .

It was quite a small room, but not as small as others we've had in London so we can recommend the hotel and would definitely return.
The hotel is only a short walk from Kings Cross and easy to find, with a friendly welcome from the staff. The room was lovely and clean and we slept well. Can't fault the breakfast, and they let us leave our luggage until our train time on departure day.

Was visiting London for work. booked a single room and it was big enough. Shower was powerful and water hot. Tea tray provided as well as toiletries via a dispenser which was good. Hotel itself was tastefully decorated and very clean. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast room was busy, there was a great choice and plenty of food both hot and cold and was constantly replenished so everything was fresh. Excellent location

Not sound proof from other noisy guests. It's an old building and so, if you don't like stairs this may be difficult for you as there is no lift.
It was comfy, relaxed and in a good quiet location.

Nohing I could think of
Perfect and rather quiet location, very close to public transport. Bars, restaurants, cafes and shops also just around the corner. Very lively area. My room was spotless and the staff absolutely friendly and helpful. Will stay here again

Handtowels would have been useful, basement location of room not optimum; it was not too dark but was subject to squeaky noise from regular footfall in corridor above from early morning; there was little control over heating.
Perfect location, spacious twin room, not too many stairs to get to our room, clean, good shower, kettle to make tea, slept well, no problem from very faint rumble of tube trains, really nice cooked breakfast, plenty of frothy coffee .

Even though the heater was set to 0, it remained hot in the afternoon and at night. The water in the shower regularly remained cold

I stayed with my friend and we made a reservation that included breakfast. It was a very nice breakfast. The dining room was very clean. The room we stayed in and the bathroom were very clean. The receptionist working the night we arrived was very friendly. I will choose your hotel again on my next trip.

I found it all more than adequate.
Easily accessible, .close to public transport and Euston station. Dainty room, impeccably clean. Delicious fresh breakfast, very pleasant staff. Safe area, lovely park at the front.

The breakfast is really ‘beige’, no fresh vegetables or fruits and it’s served in the basement, which was really cold in the morning.
The location is really good. We were there with our 9 months old baby. The staff were very kind and helpful, which we are grateful for.

The “double” bed in a family room was much smaller than a double and not really suitable for 2 adults.
