The room smelled musty.

This hotel was well situated (a very short taxi ride from the Bradford Interchange railway station) Staff were pleasant. The cooked breakfast was extremely good. Room was clean and had all essential things (hairdryer, ironing board, toiletries) but it was musty - smelt like it hadn't been aired in a looooooong time - and the bathroom drains were emitting slightly unpleasant smells; again, as if this top floor room hadn't been occupied in a long time. I didn't need the conference facilities or ballroom (etc) but they and the lovely old staircases had an air of slightly faded grandeur.

Room very small for a Double. One side of the bed didn't even have room for a table to place water on and there was very little space to move around the bed! We weren't sure whether to have breakfast in the hotel, as one of us specifically wanted Eggs Benedict. I asked at Reception whether this was available and was assured it was - I was told we would just have to ask and it would be made for us - so I booked and paid. Unfortunately, at breakfast the waitress said that this was NOT the case and we could only have the buffet items. These were nice, but not what we wanted......Bar closes quite early, even on a Saturday night, which was a shame as we went back to have a nightcap before bed.

Lovely building and good location for Bradford centre. Parking free and secure, though limited spaces - we were lucky to get a space. Room clean and bed very comfortable - slept well! Quality of breakfast was good, and plentiful.

The room was on the first floor, and a lift took us to the first floor but then you had two small flights of stairs to go to reach the level where the room was. On that level, you then had a very long walk down MANY corridors to get to the actual room. I am an older lady and have arthritic joints and the hike to the room was more than I had expected. Anyone with a real disability, wouldn't fare too well.

The bathroom was particularly nice. Spotlessly clean and very well presented. Towels and bathrobes and slippers were provided and the shower was very powerful. The bedroom had everything except drinks in the fridge. It would have been nice to have had bottled water in the fridge. The wardrobe contained an iron and board, a hairdryer and an electric heater for those who feel the chill in the evenings. Tea and coffee making facilities were plentiful and there was plenty of room to move around. The entrance to the building from the car park, is a very fine example of Victorian decor with items from the grand old days of travel. Breakfast was included with our booking and we were not disappointed. It was buffet style but it was all fresh and plentiful. The sausages were delicious, the bacon lean and well cooked and a good selection of cereal and fruit juices.

The coffee facilities in the room are very poor. I would like to have thought that a hotel of this distinction would have had Nespresso coffee machines rather than instant coffee. Made a great stay into an OK stay. Get in touch with Nespresso professional and get some machines!

Staff are personable and helpful and always go out of their way to make sure all is well. Room was comfortable. less than 5 minute walk from the station but there is a car park. I’ve stayed several times and it is my preferred hotel in Bradford.

Entrance not clean neither convenient to carry ur luggage from entrance to lift .If you got suitcase have to lift from stairs and then get to lift. Very inconvenient.

I get an upset tummy with a lot of grease so I couldn't eat the breakfast that they served plus the bacon came smoked which I also don't eat but wasn't given a choice. My friend ate all hers and said it was fine. They did refund me for the breakfast though

Great location, right in the heart of Bradford, and across from the new shopping centre. It's great to have parking available. I was very pleased that they could give me a bath in the bathroom and also a fridge in the room.

I hadn't realised the rate I paid didn't include breakfast, even though the rate was much higher than I could have booked it for when I was there. Booking in advance was obviously a mistake.

The staff were really nice and helpful. Parking was easy and good. Rooms were big.

The bed was a little bit too soft for my preference but all in all it didn't stop me from having a good night sleep. Thank you so much as ee enjoyed our stay.

The hotel itself is beautiful, very picturesque and the staff were so warm and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.

The bathroom could use some updating (such as fixing the cracked sink) but it was more than adequate for my needs. There was a strange persistent buzzing noise in the bathroom and my room overlooked the building site next door but it was nothing that interfered with my stay.

The hotel is in a central location, close to the train stations and shopping centre. My room was large, comfortable and clean with plenty of power outlets. I didn't spend much time at the property or use the restaurant but the communal areas looked well maintained, and I had a professional and friendly experience at check-in. Overall, I was impressed by the accommodation and at the low price.

- Lack of plug sockets in rooms, everything is hard wired. Rarely found a socket to charge phones. - Windows didn't open more than 2 inches, and auto closed as it had old wooden windows. - Rooms were hot, not ventilated, plug fan available but was extremely noisy/not maintained. - Some rooms are big and nice, some very small. - Pricy breakfast (didn't try it) , may as well go into Broadway, many cheaper options. - Needs a complete refurb, looks like it hasn't been updated in 20 years. - Water options from bar in lobby, nothing in the room. Feel there should've had complementary in the room. - Some 3am noise from street (not hotels fault), is to be expected. - No extra pillows or duvets, tried asking many times but never got extra. (we did arrive later in evening, but feel they should have some in cupboards.)

- Location was great, 5 mins from Broadway. - Indoor lounge was nice, staff were exceptionally lovely when greeting and helping. Parking was good and easy. - Guests were lovely to speak to and greet. - They have events, line dancing was on this weekend. - The staff gave us 2 water bottles complimentry when asked for water sources, very nice.

Loved the decor and elegant style. Room and bathroom were spacious, warm and comfortable as heating was easily adjusted. Now breakfast was even better - served in elegant restaurant - high quality and tasty :)
