We would recommend anyone to stay, a hot tub would be perfect on the verander.

Our only let downs were we stayed in the Chatsworth room, this was tired looking and in need of a facelift, and the bathroom door needed planing and the bedroom needed a new stop on it, so it doesnt bang into the wall which already had a big hole in it.

Me and my dad stayed for 3 nights & 4 days, was welcomed by Paul hotel manager, who was lovely couldnt do enough for you. Hayden (cook) was able to cater for my gluten free needs. Patrick (bar) was lovely as well. The beds were clean & comfy, the towels provided were lovely & big. This hotel was a perfect location for all walks, we ate at the indian in Hathersage a few times which was nice.

Some areas of the room were dusty, such as under the bed and shelves, we only noticed as we travelled with a toddler who enjoyed sliding things under the bed. The sofa in the room is on wheels and rolled across the room when sat on.

The room was very comfortable and spacious (we stayed in the 'surprise view' room) and the view was excellent. The food was delicious and well priced, and the staff were very friendly, happy to help and made our stay very enjoyable.

Evening meals we're finished at 7pm due to lack of staff.

The room was tired and old, and the curtain was broken so we couldn't pull it back all the way. The bathroom was dirty, and there was no soap in the shower dispenser. It felt like there could have been a little more attention paid to details and cleanliness.

The staff were really friendly, and we were able to check-in early without any problems. The breakfast included was excellent. Good value for money.

Our room was at the top of two flights of stairs which were quite a challenge for a couple in their mid-seventies

Paul the host was great. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A big comfortable room with fabulous views. Plenty of car parking space. Well located for sight seeing and Hathersage is a lovely little town

Nothing really other than like I said above, the twin room is a little dated and in that room you could hear music from I believe the kitchen at around 8am.

The breakfast was perfection and they accommodated for my friends coeliac needs. The twin room is a little dated however the shower is excellent and the all in one body and shampoo gel is so nice! We didn’t have dinner there so can’t comment on that. Great location for walks. You can check in up until 2am if going for a wedding however obviously talk to the hotel about that if needed. Large free car park. Good value for money. Friendly staff. Dogs are allowed which is always nice to see.

Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (especially the toilet). Also, if you are planning to eat dinner at the venue, you should know that the kitchen closes early (we tried to order after 7 and it was already closed) so make sure to check times. As for lunch, there was 1 hour gap between starters and mains.

The location was ideal with lots of walking routes around. We were able to check in early which was really nice. Staff was lovely. The room had everything it needed and was clean and really cozy albeit on the small size (a bit different from what it's shown on Booking.com). Breakfast was delicious and plenty food.

It felt a little tired and like it needed a good hoover and mop but our room was spotless. I just mean the hallways and stairs up to our room and Dining room floor

Our room was very cold on arrival, but we turned the radiator on it was fine. The bathroom was awful however, the sink was horribly cracked and the shower door didn't meet the tray so when the base filled with water because the drain was blocked the room flooded!! There was also black mould on the walls. Time for a spruce up. The breakfast was good.

The staff are great friendly and helpful, the surrounding area is beautiful.
